You Are Safe With Jesus the Covenant God!

by Tonja Taylor
4/09/2020 / Salvation

True peace and safety are found only in the LORD Jesus Christ, Who was and Who is and Who is to come.

Jesus the LORD is merciful, and His mercy preceeds His judgment, thank goopdness! Psalm 136:1-3 (and the rest of the Psalm, NKJV) speak of His great mercy and lovingkindness to us the children of men: Oh, give thanks to the Lord, for He is good! For His mercy endures forever. 2 Oh, give thanks to the God of gods! For His mercy endures forever. 3 Oh, give thanks to the Lord of lords! For His mercy endures forever:

Jesus is our Rock: And they all drank the same spiritual (supernaturally given) drink. For they drank from a spiritual Rock which followed them [produced by the sole power of God Himself without natural instrumentality], and the Rock was Christ. - I Corinthians 10:4, AMPC

The LORD does not change: 6 For I am the Lord, I do not change; that is why you, O sons of Jacob, are not consumed.- Malachi 3:6, AMPC

The LORD is always working to protect us, as any good parent protects their children and warns them of danger, and even keeps them safe in ways the child may never know, because of love. Psalm 91 is prayed out loud by many Believers in Christ as the "Psalm of Protection." The entire Psalm speaks of God's faithfulness to protect us and keep us safe from all harm, as we trust in Him.

As the LORD states in Psalm 91:5-6: You shall not be afraid of the terror of the night, nor of the arrow (the evil plots and slanders of the wicked) that flies by day, 6 Nor of the pestilence that stalks in darkness, nor of the destruction and sudden death that surprise and lay waste at noonday.

You can pray Psalm 91 (or any other Scripture the LORD leads you to pray) daily over yourself and other loved ones against the virus and everything else that would try to harm you or them. The Word of God will not return void, but will accomplish that for which God sends it (Isaiah 55).

Jesus is the Covenant God: 10 For though the mountains should depart and the hills be shaken or  removed, yet My love and kindness shall not depart from you, nor shall My covenant of peace and completeness be removed, says the Lord, Who has compassion on you. - Isaiah 54:10, AMPC

Of course, if one continues to do unwise and dangerous things on purpose, the LORD--like any parent--is not responsible for foolish choices made by the child. The devil is in the world, always working to destroy any person in any way that he can.

Proverbs 28:18 states:  18 He who walks uprightly shall be safe, but he who willfully goes in double and wrong ways shall fall in one of them.

Verse 26 in the same chapter states:  26 He who leans on, trusts in, and is confident of his own mind and heart is a [self-confident] fool, but he who walks in skillful and godly Wisdom shall be delivered

The LORD will give us wisdom when we ask (James 1:5).

So we ask the LORD for wisdom, and obey His voice. He loves us more than we can imagine, and knows all things. So when we trust in the LORD, we have the protection of Yahweh, the Covenant God, Whose Son is Jesus Christ, and this protection is much stronger than anything that could ever harm us.

God is merciful and loving to all humans, and He gave Jesus for all to be saved and have a wonderful life (John 3:15-17, John 10:10).

As in human dealings, choices one makes affects one's life.  As Romans 2:10-11 (AMPC) states, 10 But glory and honor and [heart] peace shall be awarded to everyone who [habitually] does good, the Jew first and also the Greek (Gentile). 11 For God shows no partiality [undue favor or unfairness; with Him one man is not different from another].

If you have not been born again and want to receive Christ Jesus as your Savior, LORD, and Best Friend forever (He will never leave you nor forsake you! Hebrews 13:5), please say this prayer out loud:

Dear Jesus, I acknowledge and say that You alone are LORD and God. I thank You for dying for me on the cross by shedding all of Your blood to pay the terrible debt of all my sins. I ask You to please forgive me and come into my heart and be my Savior and LORD and Best Friend Forever.

I renounce satan and all of his works in my life, forever.

I receive You and ask You to help me know You and walk in Your ways. I thank You that in this new life in which I follow You, I will go to be with You in Heaven when this body dies. Thank You so much! In Your Name, amen!

Now, if you just said that prayer and meant it, you are truly born again! God is now your loving Father (I John 3:1), Jesus is your Brother Who and Good Shepherd who will always be with you and will lead you in right paths, and the angels are having a party to celebrate your most excellent decision (Luke 15:7)!

Your spirit has been translated from the temporary kingdom of darkness into the eternal Kingdom of Light of God's dear Son, King Jesus (Colossians 1;13-14)!

It is a rebirthing of your spirit!

Ask the LORD to show you the right church body for you to become part of, and for the right Bible to study. Remember there are multiple versions and languages online to use! He will help you.

He will help you--for His Spirit is the Helper Who is with you now, forever!
