WAKE ME UP IN HEAVEN

                          I'd rather wake up in Heaven,

                         there's not much more to say;

             It's not that I've been coerced to forfeit my life, 

                   just the current evil; abducting the day.

                Catastrophe and crisis, climaxing in death,

                       are the latest wicked schemes;

                    Oh Lord, wake me up in Heaven,

                       BUT not only in my dreams!

            Oh take me up oh Lord my God

                 or egg me on to wait........

            either way, You are coming soon;

                  no last call for debate.

            Oh wake me up in Heaven oh Lord,

                  rather than mortal ways 

                       and human skin;

             JESUS COME in GREAT POWER

              let Your adoring ones enter in!
