ONE GOD, ONE SALVATION

A growing concern in Christendom is the seemingly steady increase in convoluted thinking about our faith. God indisputably ordained that there be unity within the church, but the understanding and meaning of that unity has been obscured by the scores of falsities sweeping the world. This should not come as a surprise, however, as the warnings of apostasy can be found in plenty of Bible passages, like 2Thessalonians 2:3, for example:

"Let no one deceive you by any means; for that Day will not come unless the falling away comes first and the man of sin is revealed; the son of predition."

AND--

"Now the Spirit expressly says that in latter times some will depart from the faith, giving heed to deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons," (1Timothy 4:1)

Also see these powerful verses on the subject of straying from the faith:

1Timothy 4:1, Hebrews 3:12 & 6:4-6, Luke 8:13, 2Peter 2:20-22 and John 15:6.

Scriptures on Biblical UNITY (of the same mind):

"There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus." (Galatians 3:28)

"Now I plead with you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that you all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment. For it has been declared to me concerning you, my brethren, by those of Chloe’s household, that there are contentions among you. Now I say this, that each of you says, “I am of Paul,” or “I am of Apollos,” or “I am of Cephas,” or “I am of Christ.” (1Corinthians 1:10-12)

" For as the body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body: so also is Christ" (1Corinthians 12:12)

"Rejoice with them that do rejoice, and weep with them that weep." (Romans 12:15:18)

Romans 12:16 NKJV - "Be of the same mind toward one another. Do not set your mind on high things, but associate with the humble. Do not be wise in your own opinion. Be of the same mind toward one another."

Also see 2Corinthians 13:11 & Acts 4:32

The Apostle Paul spoke a great deal on unity within the church, however, he never suggested that all the variations, versions and theories, which encompass all kinds of fake gods, should come together and allow an all-inculsive NEW religious catch-all! What Paul was talking about could actually be considered the exact opposite; he meant that all believers need to learn and adhere to true, sound doctrine, primarily the doctrine of salvation through faith in Christ and Christ alone, but also the whole counsel of God, (see Hebrews 6:1-3.)

The understanding of this differentiation is vitally important to the Kingdom of God and security regarding eternal salvation. And unfortunately, false churches and fake theologies have, in many minds, disparaged what Jesus did for us on the cross.

Many believers have allowed their faith in Him to become vague and uncertain, weak, full of doubt and even contentious.

But to be saved, one MUST believe in the One True God of Abraham, through Christ and God warned of the dangers of idolatry and the inclusion of other religions:

"you shall have no other gods before me." (Exodus 20:3)

"For there is one God and one Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus," (1Timothy 2:5)

"Little children, keep yourselves from idols," (1John 5:21)

"Therefore God also gave them up to uncleanness, in the lusts of their hearts, to dishonor their bodies among themselves, who exchanged the truth of God for the lie, and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen." (Romans 1:24-25)

Also see Exodus 32, the incident of the Israelites worshipping the "golden calf."
In Conclusion:

In order to truly be saved, one must believe in the One True God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob through our Savior and Lord, Christ Jesus. There's a lot of debate as to the need to say a certain prayer in order to be saved, but Jesus never said that, there's nothing wrong with saying a special prayer, it's even quite nice, but it's not what counts. (see John 3:1-21)

What matters to God is our faith is steadfast; unwaivering and that we know THE Mediator; our Savior, our Messiah, Jesus the CHRIST and know Him well.

Can I get an AMEN?

NKJV
