One World Religion-This Is The Time To Examine Yourself

by Ngozi Nwoke

Many Christians are wondering about the One World Religion that is seriously coming up now. And all manner posts, videos, comments, and so on are out there in the media and online. This is agitating many Christian believers. But what truly should be our concern at this time? This is the time to examine yourself.

"And I saw one of his heads as if it had been mortally wounded, and his deadly wound was healed. And all the world marveled and followed the beast. So they worshiped the dragon who gave authority to the beast; and they worshiped the beast, saying, "Who is like the beast? Who is able to make war with him?"

All who dwell on the earth will worship him, whose names have not been written in the Book of Life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.

And he exercises all the authority of the first beast in his presence, and causes the earth and those who dwell in it to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed."

Revelation 13:3-4, 8, 12 NKJV

The scriptural basis for One world religion

Some people wonder if one world religion is in the scriptures. And the answer is YES. However, you will not find it written like that in the bible. But the scriptures do describe a one-world religion. For instance, in Revelations 13:3-4, 8, 12, the scriptures describe a time when the whole world will worship the beast except those whose names are in the book of life. And these would be the believing Christians. This means no other thing will be worshipped at that time but the beast, that is One Religion.

The scriptures must be fulfilled

Therefore, the truth is that One World Religion will surely come to pass. For, it is one of the major events that must take place before the second coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. So, it's not negotiable nor should it be a subject for debate. Hence, just like Jesus said in Matthew 24:33 when you see all these things, know that the coming of Jesus Christ is near - at the door.

What manner of persons ought you to be (2 Peter 3:11)

The word of God tells us in Ephesians 5:27, that Christ is not coming for a church with spot or wrinkle. Rather, He's coming for a church that is holy and without blemish.

Therefore, it's very important that you examine yourself to be sure you're in faith (2 Corinthians 13:5). Also, that you're without spot, wrinkle, or any such thing. But rather, that you're holy and without blemish. This means that you should not allow anybody, situations, or circumstances to tamper with your white garment. For nothing is worth being disqualified from dinning with Christ.

So, examine yourself and be more diligent to make your call and election sure, for if you do these things you will never stumble (2 Peter 1:10). This calls for you to be steadfast, unmovable, serving the Lord, for your labour will not be in vain (I Corinthians 15:58). Furthermore, remember eternity with Christ is far better than a few years of pleasure on earth.

The Ten virgins - Matthew 25:1-13

The story of the ten virgins is there to caution us. This story makes us understand that they were virgins and so Christians. However, five of them where foolish while the other five were wise. This you see by the fact that only the wise ones went out to meet the bridegroom with extra oil for their lamps. As the time of Bridegroom's coming delayed, they all slumbered. But when the bridegroom came, the wise ones with their extra oil were ready to meet with him. And when the foolish ones went to buy for themselves, the bridegroom came, allowed the wise virgins in, and locked the door. Unfortunately, when the foolish virgins returned, the door was not open for them. And they missed the wedding ceremony.

Lessons from the story

You need to prepare for the second coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. And this preparation is not for when He arrives, but now. Although in this world you will face a lot of challenges, you must ensure that your light never goes out. Rather, let your light burn even brighter by the day. And ensure that you fill yourself with the Holy Spirit every moment of your life.

Conclusion

You're not to focus on the One World Religion that is getting ready to take off. And you're not to be afraid of it either. Instead, you're to see it as a time to examine yourself and ensure you're in the faith. Therefore, in the words of Christ, "Watch therefore, for you know neither the day nor the hour in which the Son of Man is coming." (Matthew 25:13)
