Eschew Deceit And Falsehood

Before or as soon as the dreaded virus, COVID 19 registered its presence in Nigeria in February 2020 or thereabouts, a woman went to procure a hair dryer for her daughter who was planning to open a Beauty salon. On arrival at the place where one could be bought, she sighted a beautiful one and immediately reached for it. They negotiated the price and they agreed on a particular figure that satisfied both parties. At the point of payment, the business owner offered the buyer if she could add a small amount to the agreed price and he will give her an original and better dryer.

 

The buyer agreed.

 

Then the middle - aged man went into the shop and brought another one. But it was not as beautiful as the first one but it was heavier. That was how the woman went home thanking the Lord for not allowing her to go home with a fake product.

 

In today's world, deceit and falsehood seem to be the order of the day. This takes place on-line and off-line. Every step must be taken not to be a victim of deceit or falsehood. May the Lord save us in Jesus name.

 

To every meditator in the Word of God, it will not come as a surprise because it has been declared by the Personality who has been given all authority or power in heaven and in the earth, Jesus Christ in Matthewy24:4a,11,24 thus,
"Take heed that no one deceives you.
For many will come in my name saying, I am the Christ, and will deceive many. "
Then many false prophets will rise up and deceive many.
For false christs and false prophets will rise and show great
signs and wonders to deceive, if possible even the elect. See, I have
told you beforehand. " New King James Version (NKJV)
Meaning that, deceit and falsehood are signs of the end time that is now around with us, to every discerning mind.

 

Hardly can you say a sector is not included in this end of the age signs. Not only this, no level of human affairs is spared. Deceit and falsehood is present everywhere. To carry out transaction today calls for extra caution so that you will not become a victim of deceit.

 

Deceit and falsehood is well wrapped or packaged as if it is the real product or service but at the end of it all, it reveals its true color, deceit or falsehood. In cases, someone would have become a finger licker as a person who has been deceived.

 

It is even sad that false or deceitful persons or products outnumbered the original ones. This is recorded in the Scriptures.
In the days of King Ahab of Israel, he gathered four hundred false prophets who encouraged him to go to a particular battle. They all assured him of victory at the end of the day.

 

However, Jehoshaphat, the King of Judah, a more spiritual, discerning and righteous king demanded for a true prophet which he found in Prophet Micaiah who revealed the heart of the Lord that the King of Israel will be destroyed at Ramoth Gilead. He also revealed that a "lying spirit" was in the mouth of all the prophets King Ahab had gathered.

 

It is sad that as it was, so it is and so shall it be forever!

 

Apostle Peter declares about the people of God,
"But there were also false prophets among the people, even as there will be false teachers, among you who will secretly bring in destructive heresies..." 2 Peter 2:1. (New King James Version)

 

Therefore, be watchful and careful as the elect of God so that you will not be deceived in this end of the age. Watch and pray.

 

Please, be warned if you are a deceiver or a false prophet or teacher. Repent of any form of deceitful or false acts you are involved in. At the end, it will be to your disadvantage,

 

Why?

 

Every deceiver and false practitioner will be "cast alive into the lake of fire burning with brimstone." Revelation 19:20 NKJV.

 

May this not be your place of abode after this life in Jesus name. Repent and believe the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
