Covenant

We all see lots of big rigs when traveling. Have you noticed Covenant Transport trucks?

Seeing their company logos, the trucks immediately got my attention. Their mission statement: ‘Our Covenant stands as one of faith-in our foundation, in serving people and in generating value within the supply chain.’ I’m not recruiting for the company but I’d guess they’re always looking for good drivers.

Covenant…

God established a covenant with Abraham.

“Neither shall thy name any more be called Abram, but thy name shall be Abraham; for a father of many nations have I made thee.

And I will make thee exceeding fruitful, and I will make nations of thee, and kings shall come out of thee.

And I will establish my covenant between me and thee and thy seed after thee in their generations for an everlasting covenant, to be a God unto thee, and to thy seed after thee (Genesis 17:7 KJV).”

God is faithful. He keeps His promises.

“He hath remembered his covenant for ever, the word which he commanded to a thousand generations (Psalm 105:8 KJV).”

There was a need for a new covenant.

“In that he saith, A new covenant, he hath made the first old. Now that which decayeth and waxeth old is ready to vanish away Hebrews 8:13 KJV).”

Give thanks for Jesus and the new testament (new covenant).

“And for this cause he is the mediator of the new testament, that by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions that were under the first testament, they which are called might receive the promise of eternal inheritance (Hebrews 9:15 KJV).”

Amen.
