A Simple But Powerful Prayer for the United States of America!

"Father!" I declared by faith. "Jesus is LORD of the United States of America!"

"The earth is Yours and the fullness thereof, and all the peoples therein (Psalm 24:1)!" I reminded Him. "We need You to bring the fear of the LORD upon the Church, and upon the leaders of this nation! Thank You for the promise of the new USA. We receive it! Thank You that what the enemy means for evil, You always work for good (Genesis 50:20)! Hallelujah!"

I turned up the worship music. Although once we receive Christ Jesus as Savior and He is with us always, I have found that I feel the closest to my Father when I worship Him. So I continued.

"Father, as Psalm 25 says, You lead the humble in what is right, and You instruct even sinners in Your way.  LORD, I am not the judge, so whichever ones the president and all the rulers of this nation are--from the highest to the lowest--I ask that You channel their hearts in Your way, to do what is right for this nation; for us Your righteous people, and the innocent ones whom You know will turn to You, in the Name of Jesus!"

This is a prayer the LORD will definitely hear and answer, because it is heartfelt and Scripturally-based. If I can do it, so can you! Our nation needs all the prayers it can get. So please pray!

Many times--almost every time I've prayed for the nation or any thing major through the years--tears come quickly, as I'm both awed that the LORD and Creator of Heaven and earth loves and hears me, and that my obedience in prayer can make a difference in my nation and the world!

So can yours, so pray!

If it seems hard to pray, go outside, drive around and have a prayer-filled "joy ride." I do this often, to be by myself with Him, where I can pray and worship as loud as I want, and turn up the worship music. I hit the interstate and drive where there are no redlights! If you have little kids, take them with you! I've had some wonderful "joy rides" (not stealing cars, which I had no idea was called that. The real "joy ride" is being with Jesus as you pray and worship and brag on Him!). It's so very rewarding, and your children will love it too! You'll be sowing priceless seeds into those little ones!

Otherwise, you can go to the bathroom at home or work for a bit (which I've also done, when my daughter was little or I was at work and had a break), or whatever works for you to be able to connect with God. You can speak Scriptures under your breath or sing or hum to yourself.

Praying in the Holy Ghost, with the baptism of the Spirit, is also excellent. As one apostle has stated, we cannot pray a selfish prayer when we pray in the Spirit. Hallelujah!

The LORD will help you!

If you're still not sure how to start, look up prayers in the Bible, and adapt them to your situation. You can personalize many Scriptures and passages in the Word and apply them to your situation, for the Word of God is timeless, eternal, unchanging, and for you!

Ask the LORD for guidance.  He may lead you to a book of Scriptural prayers, or He may lead you to just one verse, to pray over and over and over.

Praise the LORD, He is our personal God, Who knows us better than we know ourselves, and He will guide you into victory! He is the Good Shepherd Who leads us always in right paths for His Name's sake (Psalm 23)!

Remember, no matter how you feel (and the enemy will lie and say your prayers are not working), your humble, honest-from-the-heart prayers will make a difference in this nation and this world! Hallelujah!

So pray, pray, pray! God is a good, good Father, and He delights in us coming to Him with unselfish prayers. He loves to answer them! Something as big as praying for our nation may seem to not be answered as quickly as we'd like, but there are many factors involved; from the free wills of the leaders of this nation (from the highest to the lowest!), to the Church needing to step up and model Christ for the world, to demonic forces coming against us all.

Far greater is Jesus Christ the risen King, Who is for us, and for the USA (which was founded for the freedom to worship Him!), than the enemy who is defeated who is in the world! HALLELUJAH!

So pray today and know that you are helping change the nation for Christ!
