Have you found the way to weight management?

It seems every program uses appealing slogans and celebrity testimonials to draw our attention. The essentials at the foundation of long term success are physical exercise and wise food choices. Some might use complicated charts and read food labels; yet, these tools are only beneficial if we diligently use them.

Weight management requires discipline. It means eating healthy foods and exercising more. Truth be said, most of us detest self discipline. We’re wise to eat smaller portions daily. Dieters can curb their appetites by consistently using restraint. Selfishness begins early when small children tease for more candy or desert.

More is better; or is it? Do you go back for a second helping? The cook considers it a compliment.

I grew up in a middle class family with five children crowded around the kitchen table. Pork chops were one of my favorites. Extra portions were rare. I didn't need the additional helpings anyway.

I’ve discovered the key to satisfaction and life management; the LORD is my portion.

“You are my portion, O Lord;
I have said that I would keep Your words.
I entreated Your favor with my whole heart;
Be merciful to me according to Your word (Psalm 119:57-58 NKJV).”
