A seed. A blueprint. A pathway. A script.

11/01/2007 / Devotionals

Genesis 1:25 And God made the beasts of the earth according to their kinds, and cattle, and every thing that creepeth on the earth after its kind. And God saw that it was good.

26 And he said: Let us make man to our image and likeness: and let him have dominion over the fishes of the sea, and the fowls of the air, and the beasts, and the whole earth, and every creeping creature that moveth upon the earth.

27 And God created man to his own image: to the image of God he created him: male and female he created them.

28 And God blessed them, saying: Increase and multiply, and fill the earth, and subdue it, and rule over the fishes of the sea, and the fowls of the air, and all living creatures that move upon the earth.

29 And God said: Behold I have given you every herb bearing seed upon the earth, and all trees that have in themselves seed of their own kind, to be your meat:
30 And to all beasts of the earth, and to every fowl of the air, and to all that move upon the earth, and wherein there is life, that they may have to feed upon. And it was so done.

31 And God saw all the things that he had made, and they were very good. And the evening and morning were the sixth day.

Genesis 2:1 So the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the furniture of them.
2 And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made: and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had done.

3 And he blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made.

May God bless the reading of HIS Word. Amen

A seed. A blueprint. A pathway. A script. All unfold something that is not at first glance visible as it will appear in its final form.

The seed must die to allow its fullness to be seen eventually. The process is often very long. From a blueprint carpenters, plumbers, electricians, painters and others build an edifice of some sort "according to plan". A pathway usually leads to somewhere specific like a mountaintop or a lake or simply through a city, town or forest wood. A script brings actors together in a dance of sorts to display an unfolding drama or story.

In the beginning God!

Ephesians 1:4 According as He (God) hath chosen us in Him (Christ) before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love:

We were there! We were there in God's mind long before He ever created the world. He always knew us..

I'm reminded of the story of Joseph and his brothers. I once heard a sermon on that story that like as Joseph had his golden chalice placed in Benjamin's sack to insure his brothers would return to him, likewise, God places a treasure within us to insure we will return. Interesting application of the story of Joseph,

2 Corinthians 4:7 But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us.

In the beginning God said,,

A seed would bring forth what's hid inside of it that is not yet evident 1 John 3:2 Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it DOTH NOT YET APPEAR what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.

A blueprint would unfold a history of His people and His love for them even though they would stray far from HIM and go their own ways.

A pathway for His chosen to follow will come forth John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

A script will unfold as written I Peter 1:18 Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers; 19 But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot:
20 Who verily WAS FOREORDAINED BEFORE THE FOUNDATION OF THE WORLD, but was manifest in these last times for you,

How can you not trust a God who fulfills all His promises just as He spoke from before the foundation of the world?

You see, we don't have to ask God for this or for that! All we need do is ask Him one favor..
Abba Father, Elohim, Adonai will You kindly please wash my eyes with eye salve that I may see the great and awesome plan You have for me?

Ps 119:105 Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.

Then take it one step at a time..

A seed. A blueprint. A pathway. A script.
