Is Your Name on The List?

Thus shall he who conquers (is victorious) be clad in white garments, and I will not erase or blot out his name from the Book of Life; I will acknowledge him [as Mine] and I will confess his name openly before My Father and before His angels.--Revelation 3:5, AMPC

"The List" is much more than names of those who can get in to see a movie or an exclusive club, or have a reservation for a five-star restaurant. Your name must be on God's List--The Lamb's Book of Life--if you are truly going to go to Heaven when your body dies!

When Christ, who is your life, appears, then you also will appear with him in glory. 5 Put to death, therefore, whatever belongs to your earthly nature: sexual immorality, impurity, lust, evil desires and greed, which is idolatry. 6 Because of these, the wrath of God is coming. -- Colossians 3:4-6, KJV

There are many thoughts about life after death--which most people think of as after the body dies. I'm not going to address those here.

What you really need to understand is that this life is a dot on the endless road of Eternity, and that, one day, your spirit will separate from your body. Your spirit--the real you!--will either be separated from the real God, the LORD Jesus Christ, forever, or will go to be with Him in Heaven (Paradise) forever!

But it is from Him that you have your life in Christ Jesus, Whom God made our Wisdom from God, [revealed to us a knowledge of the divine plan of salvation previously hidden, manifesting itself as] our Righteousness [thus making us upright and putting us in right standing with God], and our Consecration [making us pure and holy], and our Redemption [providing our ransom from eternal penalty for sin]. --I Cor. 1:30, AMPC

The choice is yours! The choice is yours whether to be on The King's List of who gets into Heaven or not, and praise the LORD, it's not about whether you've done lots of good things or not; it's about receiving Jesus Christ as your LORD (There is only one true God!) and Savior!.

11And this is the testimony: God has given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.12He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life.--I John 5:11,12 KJV

It is Who you know! Knowing Jesus is the only thing that gets your name on The List--the Lamb's Book of Life!

Yes, you have a choice of what happens to you after the death of your body!

If your name is not written in the Lamb's Book of Life--meaning, that if you have not asked Jesus Christ, the Savior of the world (John 3:15-17, John 4:42)--then your spirit will not go to Heaven; you will go to hell. Hell is separation from God, from everything good!

Why would you want to do that? You've probably experienced enough hell on earth, but that was never God's Plan for you!

I call heaven and earth to witness this day against you that I have set before you life and death, the blessings and the curses; therefore choose life, that you and your descendants may live. -- Deuteronomy 30:19, AMPC

You can choose Jesus, Who is Life (John 6:63, I Cor. 1:30, Col. 3:4-6, John 10:10)--abudant, glorious, victorious Life!

God is good, and all good, forever. He made the earth to be beautiful, pure, abundant, and meant for you to be free and healed and whole, supplied with every good thing (Genesis 1; Psalm 24:1; Psalm 103; Jeremiah 29:11; Ephesians 2:10 and 3:20; Philippians 4:13 and 19)!

And they told the woman, Now we no longer believe (trust, have faith) just because of what you said; for we have heard Him ourselves [personally], and we know that He truly is the Savior of the world, the Christ.--John 4:42, AMPC

You need Jesus! He is the most wonderful, wise, and wealthy Friend you'll ever know! He loves you and has a marvelous Plan for your life! If you want to meet Him today and start this most glorious friendship, where you will never be alone again, and have peace and joy that only He can give, then say this prayer out loud:

Dear Jesus, I ask You to forgive me of all I've done wrong. Please come into my heart and cleanse it with Your precious blood, spilled on the cross for me over 2,000 years ago. Thank You that You rose again and live forever to help me; to pray for me to the Father; to comfort me; to teach me Your excellent ways. I receive You as my LORD and Savior and Best Friend Forever, amen!

Now, if you said that prayer and meant it (whether you felt like it or not, because faith is trust, not a feeling!), then Jesus by His Spirit did come into your heart. Now, your spirit has been translated from the defeated kingdom of darkness into the glorious, victorious Kingdom of Light and Life, of the LORD Jesus Christ, Who reigns forever!

Now, your name is written in the Lamb's Book of Life--by the Blood of Jesus the Lamb slain for our sins!

But [you were purchased] with the precious blood of Christ (the Messiah), like that of a [sacrificial] lamb without blemish or spot.--I Peter 1:19, AMPC

Now, through the Blood of Jesus, you yourself are Royalty--children of the Most High God, the King of all!

But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a dedicated nation, [God’s] own purchased, special people, that you may set forth the wonderful deeds and display the virtues and perfections of Him Who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light.--I Peter 2:9, AMPC

Hallelujah! You just made the best decision of your life, and now, Jesus and His holy angels are rejoicing (Luke 15:7)!

Your decision to choose Life--JESUS!--has put your name on The List!
