Stand Firm

“When the Lord saw that he turned aside to look, God called to him from the midst of the bush and said, ‘Moses, Moses!’ And he said, ‘Here I am.’ Then He said, ‘Do not come near here; remove your sandals from your feet, for the place on which you are standing is holy ground (Exodus 3:4-5 NASB).”

God was preparing Moses for a mighty work. He stood on holy God.

But the LORD…

“But the Lord is in His holy temple. Let all the earth be silent before Him (Habakkuk 2:20 NASB).”

The LORD abides in temples of clay.

“Do you not know that you are a temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you (1 Corinthians 3:16 NASB).”

Be holy; it is written.

“Therefore, prepare your minds for action, keep sober in spirit, set your hope completely on the grace to be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ. As obedient children, do not be conformed to the former lusts which were yours in your ignorance, but like the Holy One who called you, be holy yourselves also in all your behavior; because it is written: ‘You shall be holy, for I am holy (1 Peter 1:13-16 NASB).”

Moses stood on holy ground; you can too.

Stand firm!

“Be on the alert, stand firm in the faith, act like men, be strong (1 Corinthians 16:13 NASB).”

You can stand firm; the LORD is with you.

“Do not fear, for I am with you;
Do not be afraid, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you, I will also help you,
I will also uphold you with My righteous right hand (Isaiah 41:10 NASB).”
