Who is Praying For You?

by Tonja Taylor
1/14/2022 / Christian Living

The right prayer Covering is very important. It can even be the difference between life and death!

The LORD Jesus Christ died on the cross over 2,000 to shed His pure blood to cover the whole world! THAT is the ultimate Covering, and once we receive Him as our Savior and LORD, then He becomes our High Priest, Who ever lives to intercede (pray) for us to our Father God!

Inasmuch then as we have a great High Priest Who has [already] ascended and passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession [of faith in Him].--Hebrews 4:14, AMPC

Hallelujah!

So, once we receive Christ Jesus, we are translated from the defeated, temporary, putrid kingdom of darkness, into the glorious, victorious, eternal Kingdom of Light--the domain of the LORD Jesus Christ!  Jesus the LORD becomes our High Priest, Who continually goes before the Father in Heaven to pray for us. GLORY! That is the highest and best and most powerful Covering!

We need to understand, however, that He works with our prayers on earth. Yes, we can pray in our hearts, but our prayers spoken out loud help the holy angels, who work with the LORD Jesus Christ in perfect unity, understand whether we are speaking in alignment with God's Word.

God's angels respond to His Word. We are to meditate--think about over and over--God's Word, to have good success (Joshua 1:8).

We are to pray for each other. Jesus the LORD, our High Priest, works through our prayers--spoken, written, and even in our hearts (silent), but especially with our spoken words.

After all, Elohim (The Holy Trinity of God the Father, Jesus Christ the Son, and the Holy Spirit) created the world with words (Genesis 1).

So let us use the gift of words to pray for one another!

Confess to one another therefore your faults (your slips, your false steps, your offenses, your sins) and pray [also] for one another, that you may be healed and restored [to a spiritual tone of mind and heart]. The earnest (heartfelt, continued) prayer of a righteous man makes tremendous power available [dynamic in its working].--James 5:16, AMPC

The most powerful ways to pray for others are (1) to pray the Word of God, and (2) to pray in the language of the Holy Spirit.

Hallelujah! The LORD gives us both!  He inspires us and leads us and helps pray with these, and then He acts upon our prayers!

How great and awesome, merciful, faithful, and kind, is our loving God!

Another thing to consider is about prayer is that, as you rise in ministry, you need more cover. First, every Believer in Christ needs the faithful prayers of their pastor(s). There is definitely a priceless spiritual covering when we come under the covering (the leadership, the correction, the guidance) of the right pastors who truly follow the whole Bible, and revere it as the inerrant and unchanging--and unchangeable!--Word of God.

Next, as you expand duties in minstry--by the leading of the Holy Spirit, in His timing (more reasons to pray; to understand these things and not lag behind nor step out too early! Ask me how I know!)--you need additional cover of true prayer warriors and other spiritual leaders, who know and walk in their spiritual authority on the earth.

May these points inspire you to appreciate the prayer cover you already have, first in the LORD Jesus Christ, our beloved and holy High Priest; after that, others that pray for you. Some may be on the other side of the world, and you may not meet them till Heaven.  Also, pray for yourself, because by the Blood of the Lamb, Jesus Christ, you have the right to approach Father God at His  Throne of Grace and ask for what you need.

Let us then fearlessly and confidently and boldly draw near to the throne of  grace (the throne of God’s unmerited favor to us sinners), that we may receive mercy [for our failures] and find grace to help in good time for every need [appropriate help and well-timed help, coming just when we need it].--Hebrews 4:16, AMPC

Pray all the more as The Day approaches! You will help yourself and others--even around the world--more than you know!

Ask the LORD for more prayer cover if you need it, and to respect what you already have, for that cover has protected you from harm and deceit, more than you know!

God is good, and He loves you. Receive this message and go forth and conquer! Live the victorious life in Christ, amen!
