MAGIC TRICKS

The views on magic vary greatly among the Christian community. But clearly through Scripture, the subject of magic/sorcery is not a matter of opinion.

Inasmuch as magic is an innocent-sounding word, so much it’s even associated most commonly with child’s play, Satan uses that to help him with his master plan. God has a Master Plan and Satan does too. Furthermore, through influencing people while they are extremely young and impressionable. I’m certain, it's a favorite in his bag of tricks.

And that’s another point, with magicians' acts it’s all about tricks right? Well what they don't tell you is they mean that on a wider scale than people may realize. It’s not only a slight of hand, a clever way of looking like they are doing something that goes against the rules of nature and science, but we are to assume it only seems that way to the eye.

The real trick is that they ARE doing those things, but not all by themselves; they are accomplishing the impossible with the help of demons.

The devil is indeed quite clever, but it’s not impossible to see the truth IF we have the help of God’s Spirit living in us and giving us wisdom and showing us the truth in Scripture. And those who practice magic, witchcraft and sorcery will be cut off and their children and the children of all of the wicked will vanish before their very eyes, when Jesus comes and takes Christians and children in the RAPTURE.

But why does the devil work so hard to deceive us? Because he is the father of lies, the opposite of God Who cannot lie. God gives life. Satan brings forth death and destruction (John 10:10). He uses magic tricks and a host of other "lying wonders," as a means to counterfeit God's Miracles and Omnipotence.

GOD’S WARNINGS AND PUNISHMENT FOR PRACTICING “ENCHANTMENTS”

“ Therefore do not listen to your prophets, your diviners, your dreamers, your soothsayers, or your sorcerers, who speak to you, saying, “You shall not serve the king of Babylon.” For they prophesy a lie to you, to remove you far from your land; and I will drive you out, and you will perish.” (Jeremiah 27:9-10)

“For the idols speak delusion;

The diviners envision lies,

And tell false dreams;

They comfort in vain.

Therefore the people wend their way like sheep;

They are in trouble because there is no shepherd.” (Zechariah 10:2)

"The light of a lamp shall not shine in you anymore, and the voice of bridegroom and bride shall not be heard in you anymore. For your merchants were the great men of the earth, for by your sorcery all the nations were deceived.” (Revelation 18:23)

“But the cowardly, unbelieving, abominable, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death.” (Revelation 21:8)

“And when they say to you, “Seek those who are mediums and wizards, who whisper and mutter,” should not a people seek their God? Should they seek the dead on behalf of the living? To the law and to the testimony! If they do not speak according to this word, it is because there is no light in them. They will pass through it hard-pressed and hungry, and it shall happen, when they are hungry, that they will be enraged and curse their king and their God, and look upward. Then they will look to the earth, and see trouble and darkness, gloom of anguish; and they will be driven into darkness.” (Isaiah 8:19-22)

“Thus says the Lord, your Redeemer,

And He who formed you from the womb:

“I am the Lord, who makes all things,

Who stretches out the heavens all alone,

Who spreads abroad the earth by Myself;

Who frustrates the signs of the babblers,

And drives diviners mad;

Who turns wise men backward,

And makes their knowledge foolishness;” (Isaiah 44:24-25)

“But these two things shall come to you

In a moment, in one day:

The loss of children, and widowhood.

They shall come upon you in their fullness

Because of the multitude of your sorceries,

For the great abundance of your enchantments.

“For you have trusted in your wickedness;

You have said, ‘No one sees me’;

Your wisdom and your knowledge have warped you;

And you have said in your heart,

‘I am, and there is no one else besides me.’

Therefore evil shall come upon you;

You shall not know from where it arises.

And trouble shall fall upon you;

You will not be able to put it off.

And desolation shall come upon you suddenly,

Which you shall not know.

Stand now with your enchantments

And the multitude of your sorceries,

In which you have labored from your youth—

Perhaps you will be able to profit,

Perhaps you will prevail.

You are wearied in the multitude of your counsels;

Let now the astrologers, the stargazers,” (Isaiah 47:9-13)

“So Saul died for his unfaithfulness which he had committed against the Lord, because he did not keep the word of the Lord, and also because he consulted a medium for guidance. But he did not inquire of the Lord; therefore He killed him, and turned the kingdom over to David the son of Jesse.” (1Chronicles 10:13-14)

“For he rebuilt the high places which Hezekiah his father had destroyed; he raised up altars for Baal, and made a wooden image, as Ahab king of Israel had done; and he worshiped all the hosts of heaven and served them. He also built altars in the house of the Lord, of which the Lord had said, “In Jerusalem I will put My name.” And he built altars for all the hosts of heaven in the two courts of the house of the Lord. Also he made his son pass through the fire, practiced soothsaying, used witchcraft, and consulted spiritists and mediums. He did much evil in the sight of the Lord, to provoke Him to anger.” (2Kings 21:3-6)

MAGIC IS FROM SATAN AND ITS PURPOSE IS TO TRICK US; TO DECEIVE US THAT MAN CAN HAVE GOD-LIKE ABILITIES, TALENTS AND POWERS

“But there was a certain man called Simon, who previously practiced sorcery in the city and astonished the people of Samaria, claiming that he was someone great, to whom they all gave heed, from the least to the greatest, saying, “This man is the great power of God.” And they heeded him because he had astonished them with his sorceries for a long time.” (Acts 8:9-11)

“Now when they had gone through the island to Paphos, they found a certain sorcerer, a false prophet, a Jew whose name was Bar-Jesus, who was with the proconsul, Sergius Paulus, an intelligent man. This man called for Barnabas and Saul and sought to hear the word of God. But Elymas the sorcerer (for so his name is translated withstood them, seeking to turn the proconsul away from the faith. Then Saul, who also is called Paul, filled with the Holy Spirit, looked intently at him and said, “O full of all deceit and all fraud, you son of the devil, you enemy of all righteousness, will you not cease perverting the straight ways of the Lord? And now, indeed, the hand of the Lord is upon you, and you shall be blind, not seeing the sun for a time.” (Acts 13:6-10)

Fortune telling comes by way of demonic possession—

"Now it happened, as we went to prayer, that a certain slave girl possessed with a spirit of divination met us, who brought her masters much profit by fortune-telling. This girl followed Paul and us, and cried out, saying, “These men are the servants of the Most High God, who proclaim to us the way of salvation.” And this she did for many days.

But Paul, greatly annoyed, turned and said to the spirit, “I command you in the name of Jesus Christ to come out of her.” And he came out that very hour.” (Acts 16:16-18)

THESE THINGS ARE AN ABOMINATION; PUNISHMENT WILL COME TO THOSE WHO PRACTICE THEM

“When you come into the land which the Lord your God is giving you, you shall not learn to follow the abominations of those nations. There shall not be found among you anyone who makes his son or his daughter pass through the fire, or one who practices witchcraft, or a soothsayer, or one who interprets omens, or a sorcerer, or one who conjures spells, or a medium, or a spiritist, or one who calls up the dead. For all who do these things are an abomination to the Lord, and because of these abominations the Lord your God drives them out from before you.” (Deuteronomy 18:9-12)

GOD WILL PUT AN END TO SORCERY

I will cut off sorceries from your hand,

And you shall have no soothsayers.” (Micah 5:12)

“Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lewdness, idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies, envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like; of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.” (Galatians 5:19-21)

GOD’S DECLARES HIS PROTECTION OVER ISRAEL

“For there is no sorcery against Jacob,

Nor any divination against Israel.

It now must be said of Jacob

And of Israel, ‘Oh, what God has done!” (Numbers 23:23)

GOD FORBIDS ISRAEL FROM PRACTICING MAGIC

“‘You shall not eat anything with the blood, nor shall you practice divination or soothsaying.” (Leviticus 19:26)

GOD’S SPIRIT IS A SHIELD FOR BELIEVERS

“For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” (Romans 8:38-39)

IT’S NOT ABOUT ABILITY OR TALENT. It’s not even about excelling in one’s skill-set and reaching autonomy……. it’s pure evil. Demons give all magicians, especially those who have become famous, the appearance of performing magic, but it's really the demon who is doing these tricks. It's so deceptive, even many Christians are impressed by their so-called talent and ability.

THIS is similar to the ALIEN DECEPTION; ALSO nothing more than DEMONS AT PLAY

And SOON the most evil man, known as the Antichrist (referred to here as the beast) will take the world’s stage and show his own brand of magic that will fool billions of those not taken in the RAPTURE—

“Then I saw another beast coming up out of the earth, and he had two horns like a lamb and spoke like a dragon. And he exercises all the authority of the first beast in his presence, and causes the earth and those who dwell in it to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed. He performs great signs, so that he even makes fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men. And he deceives those who dwell on the earth by those signs which he was granted to do in the sight of the beast, telling those who dwell on the earth to make an image to the beast who was wounded by the sword and lived. He was granted power to give breath to the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak and cause as many as would not worship the image of the beast to be killed. He causes all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on their right hand or on their foreheads, and that no one may buy or sell except one who has the mark or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.

Here is wisdom. Let him who has understanding calculate the number of the beast, for it is the number of a man: His number is 666.” (Revelation 13:11-18)

This mark referred to beginning in verse 16 will be forced on all the inhabitants of the earth, and they are getting people used to it now through the vaccine, the acceptance of government control, the mask mandates and even through music, tv and movies THAT HIGHLIGHT MAN HAVING GOD-LIKE POWER, ALIENS, AND LUCIFER PORTRAYED AS “THE GOOD GUY.”

Furthermore, the media has an obnoxious way of making celebrities and the elite out to be better than everyone else; they instill idolatry and try to keep us from knowing the truth. They are lying more than ever, but that’s a subject for another article…..

“And I saw thrones, and they sat on them, and judgment was committed to them. Then I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded for their witness to Jesus and for the word of God, who had not worshiped the beast or his image, and had not received his mark on their foreheads or on their hands. And they lived and reigned with Christ for a thousand years.” (Revelation 20:4)

From the above verse it’s painfully clear that inasmuch as those who did not take the mark “reigned with Christ for a thousand years,” surely those that do take it will be damned forever.

ALSO NOTEWORTHY: If the past tense phrasing in some verses in Revelation seem to contradict the future tense of the text, that is merely due to John’s way of disclosure. What I mean is, he is revealing to us that these are the things of the future, but he has already had his vision, therefore, he uses the past tense in the telling of his vision.
