When the hair color from the box didn't work, God gave me this witty idea to color my roots!

He is such a sweet, sweet Daddy, and He cares about details!

So, I took the time to buy a $5 box of brown hair color to stain the roots (and cover the gray), while I carefully protected the high-lift blonde in foil. I kept the blonde in the foil till I washed out the brown.

I only left the brown on for about 12 minutes, because I needed to get done. This time, it didn't dye as darkly as before. I was a little frustrated.

However, I didn't really waste my money, because the blue tint in the brown muted the slight brassiness that had been left by the blonde a few days before. So I was pleased enough.

However, what to do about the roots, that still weren't as dark as I wanted? The event was about to start, and I needed to get out of the house.

I asked the LORD to help me, and He did. He brought to my mind the idea to use the black eyeliner pencil I'd also bought at the dollar store (really, just to get the eye pencil sharpener in the package with the eye pencil), and I used that on the roots.

I colored in the scalp/root area, and it looked like the roots of most of those who wear the really light blonde colors!

My Daddy God is awesome--and I mean it! (I only use that word for Him!)
