PLANT A LOVED ONE AS "SEED", AWAITING RESURRECTION? WHAT ABOUT CREMATION? WHAT'S THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN SOUL AND SPIRIT? DOES THE "BODY" KEEP THE SPIRIT BLIND?

(1) A LIVING SOUL?
As usual, the BIBLE was and is an effective source in explaining almost everything. Take a look.
Genesis 2:7 And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul
1Cor. 15:40 : There are also celestial bodies, and bodies terrestrial: but the glory of the celestial is one, and the glory of the terrestrial is another.
The DUST OF THE GROUND and the BREATH OF LIFE from God, these are not dust and air movements, they represent TWO created, infinitely complex BODIES, if you please, which have been united into a LIVING SOUL, a single entity. At least, that's how I understand it. How about you?
Rephrased, the Lord God created a CELESTIAL body (Spirit DNA, God's Breath) for man, then a TERRESTRIAL body (Dust DNA) for man, and the UNION OF THE TWO became at Gods will an integrated, functioning unit, alive, called a LIVING SOUL.
In this CELESTIAL body, (SPIRITUAL BODY, Gods Breath of Life) our sense of identity, character and memory continue forever.
Jesus Himself gave the account of Lazarus and the rich man, after their physical deaths, Luke 16:19-31. He never told fairytales. After death both men retained their entire personality and consciousness and memory (in their spiritual body) and were able to experience joy or agony, in the total absence of a flesh body.
The CELESTIAL body is the only human part which survives physical death.
At the death of the TERRESTRIAL (dust) body, the LIVING SOUL is history (no longer living) - and the CELESTIAL body separates from the defunct (dead) terrestrial body, and must return for judgment before the Creator, for either justice or mercy. For all those saved by the unimaginable love and goodness of God and Christ Jesus, to all who are HIS, our Lord has a super spectacular inheritance, which none of us could possibly merit or deserve.
(2) DO WE HAVE "NO CONSCIOUSNESS" UNTIL RESURRECTION? DEAD UNTIL RESURRECTION?
God said, "I AM the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the god of Jacob. GOD IS NOT THE GOD OF THE DEAD, BUT OF THE LIVING."
God did NOT say I WAS (past tense) the God of Abraham!
JESUS EXPLAINED TO DOUBTING JEWS, "GOD IS A GOD OF THE LIVING, NOT OF THE DEAD".(Mat 22:32}
In fact, it appears that the TERRESTRIAL body, while alive, seems to hold the spiritual (celestial) body captive (or 'limited' in perception) during its natural life; it appears to dominate it, in a way, to "blind" it, until the physical (dust, natural ) body dies and the spiritual (celestial, supernatural) body becomes free.
Once the Terrestrial body dies, the remaining, SPIRITUAL (CELESTIAL) BODY, continues independently, immediately freed and absolutely independent of the discarded TERRESTRIAL body. It is here, in the celestial component where the sense of our identity, character and memory continues forever.
(3) At RESURRECTION,
the living being, called here a CELESTIAL body, is awarded a new RESURECTION body of an infinitely advanced design to replace the diseased and discarded TERRESTRIAL one. Cor 15:47 The first man is of the earth, earthy; the second man is the Lord from heaven.
Some deny physical RESURRECTION. They say that the CELESTIAL BODY is sufficient. Do you think, that God created our physical universe just to throw it away?
It has been proposed, that the Celestial Body, by itself, lacks the capacity to manipulate matter, its physical environment. Matter passes right through it and vice versa. It requires a type of "adopter", a "physical" component, like the TERRESTRIAL body, to be effective in this immense universe composed of matter.
Christ Jesus resurrected with a physical body, of magnificent construction.
Matt 22:30; “For in the resurrection they neither marry nor are given in marriage but are as the ANGELS of God in heaven. Loss of marriage and sex? The Lord God has something infinitely better waiting for us.
Something most especial is waiting for those who seek the immense goodness of our Lord. "The ear has not heard, and no eye has ever seen, neither can man even imagine the HAPPINESS which God prepared for those who love him" (1 Cor. 2:9, paraphrased, if you please).
Angels are known to have physical bodies. Read where two angels have visited Abraham.
Take a look at 1 Cor. 15:35-47:
15:35 But some man will say, How are the dead raised up? and with what body do they come?
At resurrection all who are saved will receive permanent physical bodies, which never age.
Again, the two bodies will become at Gods will, a NEW functioning union, the NEW RESURRECTED LIVING SOUL. The new BODY, replacing the diseased terrestrial one, apparently will be a quantum leap, an exponential improvement, capable of now unimaginable things, like the resurrected body of Jesus, eternal, capable of approaching God. It will never harbor a fallen nature, or sin or unhappiness.
(4) WHERE IS YOUR SPIRIT EVENTUALLY GOING?
Have you checked the Bible? The Bible is a love story; written with blood, upon a wooden cross; the story of God's love for you.
With infinite love God gave us a Savior and God’s, Word, the Bible, a light unto our path and life eternal for those who really seek God. There is no forgiveness of sin without the shedding of blood. So terrible is sin, within a reality of eternal justice. Every animal sacrifice of the Old Testament spoke of the seriousness of sin and of a Savior, who would one day pay for our sins. These sacrifices were a teaching tool, not a remedy.
The only provision God gave to ransom HUMANITY is that of a KINSMAN REDEEMER. Mere man could never do it. Only God could do it. Can you conceive or even imagine the pure, infinite greatness and goodness of our God? Today, God Almighty pays for you.
Men are not lost because they are sinners; they are lost because they have rejected Jesus who died for them. The ultimate treasure is not creation, it is the Creator
Any CONCEIVABLE sacrifice is worthwhile to find the BIBLICAL Christ Jesus and to belong to Him. If you want Him, pray now with me, "DEAREST LORD JESUS, FORGIVE ME MY SINS. I REJECT ALL NON-BIBLICAL RELIGION. BE THE RULER OF MY LIFE. HELP ME TO LOVE YOU MORE EVERY DAY AND TO OBEY YOU WITH ALL MY STRENGTH AND TO READ YOUR BIBLE DAILY, EVERY DAY OF MY LIFE."
This is the only way to FATHER GOD. There is no other.
If you do this, and mean it, with an open heart, this prayer will never fail. It will become the greatest thing you will ever have, and it will last forever. Even in this life it will be the greatest happiness you'll know, and a light upon your path. Conversely, to FAIL in this, it will be the GREATEST DISASTER you will ever have, both here and hereafter.
