It Has Nothing to do With Your Looks!

It is the Spirit Who gives life [He is the Life-giver]; the flesh conveys no benefit whatever [there is no profit in it]. The words (truths) that I have been speaking to you are spirit and life.--John 6:63, AMPC

As I went to vote early for the primaries today, it occurred to me that legal things have nothing to do with my appearance, but my heart and mind--the unseen parts of me. Also, legal transactions on earth can have great impact in the spirit realm!

I had waited till the last minute, and was glad that I could vote in a church. I was not dressed up, although I was clean of course. My hair could have looked better, but as I thought about it, I realized that the way I looked had nothing to do with what votes I was going to cast!

It was revelation to me that the way we look--our facial features, our hair, our nails, our clothes, etc., have nothing to do with the legal power we have as we cast our votes--proving once again that, "The spirit is life; the flesh counts for nothing."

I walked in and was asked what party I wanted. "Republican," I said. "That's the closest I can get to the Bible, from what I know!"

The poll person said nothing, except to compliment my nail polish, then asked for my driver's license, and double-checked my name. There were others in the area with the same basic name, and I hoped they were also born again by believing in what the shed blood of Jesus did for us all on the cross (John 3:15-17).

I prayed the LORD would lead me to vote for those who were righteous, or, if the candidates were not born again, that I'd still choose the best one; His choice--or not vote.

The last thing I want to do is put someone in office who will be against God!

I had been claiming my rights as a faithful tax payer, and as one who prays for righteousness in the government and the USA--including for The Church of Jesus, His true body, the Ekklesia, to rise up and walk in sanctity with Him, so that those seeking God (and even those who don't think they are!) will see the true Jesus Christ (which is why we true Believers are still on the planet--to live for God and help others see the real Him! He is good, and His mercy endures forever! Psalm 103)

So, let this help you understand that, even though the world (including carnal Christians!) can be influenced by the way we look, the things of the Spirit are not, praise God! Your heart--your spirit--tuned into the Word of God and His Holy Spirit (and the Holy One will never lead you to do or say anything against the Word, for they are One!)--is by far more important, and that is where real life--including legal transactions on earth and in the spirit realm--occur.

Be led by and obedient to the Spirit of God, and you'll be right in alignment with Him! Romans 8:14!
