You are Born to Overcome!

You, little children, are from God and have overcome them, because greater is He (JESUS!) who is in you than he who is in the world. --I John 4:4, AMPC, (parenthetical emphasis mine)

For whatever is born of God is victorious over the world; and this is the victory that conquers the world, even our faith.--I John 5:4, AMPC

God is for you--or you'd be dead and in hell already! Here are Scriptures you can use to reinforce your faith and overcome what the enemy has done to you. FAR GREATER IS JESUS THE LORD IN AND WITH AND FOR YOU!!!

Yes, you are born to overcome!

If it feels like you're constantly fighting to keep your mind on God, and to rise above the junk of the world, know that that is part of the "good fight of faith." However, there is also rest from the fight, for Jesus truly has already won the war.

For His anger is but for a moment, but His favor is for a lifetime or in His favor is life. Weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning.—Psalm 30:5, AMPC

The LORD wants you to come to Him and ask Him for help for your particular situation. He is The Helper!

15 If you [really] love Me, you will keep (obey) My commands. 16 And I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Comforter (Counselor, Helper, Intercessor, Advocate, Strengthener, and Standby), that He may remain with you forever--17 The Spirit of Truth, Whom the world cannot receive (welcome, take to its heart), because it does not see Him or know and recognize Him. But you know and recognize Him, for He lives with you [constantly] and will be in you.--John 14:15-17, AMPC

Trust in, lean on, rely on, and have confidence in Him at all times, you people; pour out your hearts before Him. God is a refuge for us (a fortress and a high tower). Selah [pause, and calmly think of that]!--Psalm 62:8, AMPC

He loves you, and has made the way through Jesus' broken body and shed blood on the cross, for You to have free access to Him--the Holy One Who was and is and is to come; the Great I AM--forever! Hallelujah! What an awesome God He is (The Awesome One!)!

20 By this fresh (new) and living way which He initiated and dedicated and opened for us through the separating curtain (veil of the Holy of Holies), that is, through His flesh, 21 And since we have [such] a great and wonderful and noble Priest [Who rules] over the house of God, 22 Let us all come forward and draw near with true (honest and sincere) hearts in unqualified assurance and absolute conviction engendered by faith (by that leaning of the entire human personality on God in absolute trust and confidence in His power, wisdom, and goodness), having our hearts sprinkled and purified from a guilty (evil) conscience and our bodies cleansed with pure water.--Hebrews 10:20-22, AMPC

Behold, I stand at the door and knock; if anyone hears and listens to and heeds My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and will eat with him, and he [will eat] with Me.--Revelation 3:20, AMPC

There are excellent ways to get your mind back on God, and keep it there:

(1) Read and listen to and speak the Word of God daily. The Word of God is The Change Agent for your life!

(2) Listen to true praise and worship music, and express your thanks to God for His many blessings of goodness to you, every day. God inhabits the praises of His people, and when He is welcome and His Presence is strong, He will do great and mighty things for you, in you, and around you!

(3) Pray; talk to your Father God (He is your loving Daddy God, and Jesus is your High Priest/Intercessor, from the moment you truly repent of your sin and ask Jesus to come into your heart and be your Savior and LORD! Hallelujah!)

(4) Ask the LORD to help you make needed changes in your life, i.e., choosing to forgive others out loud; watching less television--especially negative, ungodly stuff; being on the internet less, for even (as He's had to show me!) interacting with others to brag on God can steal your personal time with Him! He will give you peace about the right balance; replacing angry, negative music with peaceful, joyful, Scripture-based songs, etc.

From that time Jesus began to preach, crying out, Repent (change your mind for the better, heartily amend your ways, with abhorrence of your past sins), for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.--Matthew 4:17, AMPC

When we truly believe in and have received God's Son, Jesus; John 3:14-17, Romans 10:13), we are never without help. We are never of those who say, "Help! I've fallen and cannot get up!"---for Jesus our Savior and King is the One Who has reached down and pulled us out of the miry pit (the junk, the oppressions, the deceptions and destructions of the devil; our fleshly desires that are not of God, etc.)

Do not let yourself be overcome by evil, but overcome (master) evil with good.--Romans 12:21, AMPC

How do you truly do this? You must know the Word (more and more, as The Day of Christ's return approaches!); know how to distinguish between what is truly evil, and what is truly good, and choose to good!

But solid food is for full-grown men, for those whose senses and mental faculties are trained by practice to discriminate and distinguish between what is morally good and noble and what is evil and contrary either to divine or human law.--Hebrews 5:14, AMPC

Daddy God has always got our backs! He knows us who are His.

God fights for us--Jehovah Nissi is the name for "The LORD our victorious miracle banner," and I had a several wonderful visions of Him fighting for me, which was a huge comfort to me! (They are available in VISIONS OF THE KING: JESUS REVEALED available on the FaithWriters site!)

7 For the Lord God helps Me; therefore have I not been ashamed or confounded. Therefore have I set My face like a flint, and I know that I shall not be put to shame. 8 He is near Who declares Me in the right. Who will contend with Me? Let us stand forth together! Who is My adversary? Let him come near to Me.--Isaiah 50:7-8, AMPC

You can say, "Return to your rest, O my soul, for the LORD has dealt bountifully with me" (Psalm 116:7), and "I am the righteous, and it goes well with me!(Prov. 11:10), and, "God is for me. Who can be against me?"

What then shall we say to [all] this? If God is for us, who [can be] against us? [Who can be our foe, if God is on our side?]--Romans 8:31, AMPC

So rise up, overcomer, knowing the God of Heaven and earth is with you and for you. Go forth and conquer!

37 Yet amid all these things we are more than conquerors and gain a surpassing victory through Him Who loved us. 38 For I am persuaded beyond doubt (am sure) that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities, nor things impending and threatening nor things to come, nor powers, 39 Nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation will be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.--Romans 8:37-39, AMPC
