Honor the USA Flag Today and Every Day!

But we are citizens of the state (commonwealth, homeland) which is in heaven, and from it also we earnestly and patiently await [the coming of] the Lord Jesus Christ (the Messiah) [as] Savior,--Philippians 3:20, AMPC

I heard on KLOVE.com that today is Flag Day. The LORD also showed me some things to share with my students--starting with information on the USA flag by our brother in Christ, David Barton. As I shared with my online students, I reminded them (me too) that we are to thank God and honor the USA and its flag, for no matter what it seems, God is working to turn this nation around--as only He can do! Hallelujah!

But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a dedicated nation, [God’s] own purchased, special people, that you may set forth the wonderful deeds and display the virtues and perfections of Him Who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light.--I Peter 2:9, AMPC

I shared many things about the flag and our nation with the students, but I did not share this: That we true Believers in Christ are dual citizens; first of Heaven, and after that, of the USA (us who are born or properly granted citizenship here). We are sent by God from Heaven to help this nation align with God's Kingdom, so the USA and the rest of the world will see what it means to be a true Believer in Christ Jesus the Messiah!

The earth is the LORD's and the fullness thereof, and all the people's therein (Psalm 24:1), and the Holy Spirit of God is working in the lives of Believers and drawing the unsaved, and doing great things in and for this nation! Great is the mercy of the Most High God toward us, in spite of our abominations, transgressions, iniquities, and sins!

Praise the LORD, His mercy precedes His judgment! For judgment is without mercy to the one who has shown no mercy. Mercy triumphs over judgment.--James 2:13, NKJV

The LORD is faithful to His promises, Hallelujah! Even when we (the USA, and Believers/the Church, in too many ways!) have been unfaithful, He is forever faithful!

If we are faithless, He remains faithful, for He cannot deny Himself.--2 Timothy 2:13, Berean Study Bible

We serve The Awesome God!!!

…6 For who in the skies can compare with the LORD? Who among the heavenly beings is like the LORD? 7In the council of the holy ones, God is greatly feared, and awesome above all who surround Him. 8 O LORD God of Hosts, who is like You? O mighty LORD, Your faithfulness surrounds You.…--Psalm 89:6-8, Berean Study Bible

So here's one way to honor the flag and our country, by proclaiming this out loud:

21 Fear not, O land (USA!); be glad and rejoice, for the Lord has done great things! 22 Be not afraid, you wild beasts of the field, for the pastures of the wilderness have sprung up and are green; the tree bears its fruit, and the fig tree and the vine yield their [full] strength. 23 Be glad then, you children of Zion, and rejoice in the Lord, your God; for He gives you the former or early rain in just measure and in righteousness, and He causes to come down for you the rain, the former rain and the latter rain, as before. 24 And the [threshing] floors shall be full of grain and the vats shall overflow with juice [of the grape] and oil.25 And I will restore or replace for you the years that the locust has eaten—the hopping locust, the stripping locust, and the crawling locust, My great army which I sent among you.--Joel 2:21-24, AMPC (emphasis, underlines mine)

So not only can we honor our country by lifting up the flag and the government in prayer (and refusing to bash it), as the LORD exhorts us to do: Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, 2 for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence. 3 For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, --I Timothy 2:1-3, NKJV

Let us honor the flag and our beloved United States of America not only today, but every day, and let us remember that the LORD inspired me to found this country so we would be free to worship Him and promote His Word here and throughout the world. Hallelujah!
