WHEN WE SIN AGAINST GRACE

by Lewis E. Thomas

WHEN WE SIN AGAINST GRACE

God's Grace is like a fragile Spider Web holding us up above the "FLAMES OF HELL BELOW!
The Holy Bible tells us that we all will "REAP" exactly what we "SOW"!

When we start out as babes in Christ that web of grace is very strong beneath our feet!
We rejoice in our new found love for God and it is "REALLY SWEET"!

As we mature in Christ God expects us to be able to discern between holy and profane!
He expects us to walk in obedience that brings glory and honor to His Name!

He expects us to read and study His Word in order to become a good Soldier in our "BATTLE" against Sin!
If we are "ILLITERATE" and "IGNORANT" of His Word, Sin is a Battle we cannot "WIN"!

"WILLFUL SIN" as described in Hebrews 10:26-31 can begin to cut away at that web of grace that's holding us up!
If we "WILFULLY SIN" against His Grace our walk with Him will soon become "CORRUPT"!

Willful Sin is "KNOWING" we are doing wrong, yet doing it "ANYWAY"!
We do it to please our "FLESH" while knowing that we are going the "WRONG WAY"!

Willful Sin will "CUT THROUGH" God's web of grace one strand at a time!
Until "OBEYING" God is no longer dear to our "HEART" or even on our "MIND"!

Read Hebrews 10:26-31 for yourself if you believe God's grace allows you to do as "YOU PLEASE"!
If we fit that description, that portion of scripture "SHOULD" get us down on our knees!

Our "WILLFUL SIN" can cut away at the web of grace until we are hanging by one tiny fragile thread!
At that point just one more "WILLFUL SIN" can drop us into the "FLAMES OF HELL" and into that "ETERNAL PLACE OF THE DEAD"!

When we Sin against grace...

I say this because some ungodly people have wormed their way into your churches, saying that God’s marvelous grace allows us to live immoral lives. The condemnation of such people was recorded long ago, for they have denied our only Master and Lord, Jesus Christ. Jude 1:4 NLT

Hebrews 10:26-31, 2Peter 2:20-22, Hebrews 6:1-6

Romans 6:15-16 NLT
15 Well then, since God’s grace has set us free from the law, does that mean we can go on sinning? Of course not! 16 Don’t you realize that you become the slave of whatever you choose to obey? You can be a slave to sin, which leads to death, or you can choose to obey God, which leads to righteous living.

Willful defined:
having or showing a stubborn and determined intention to do as one wants, regardless of the consequences or effects.

Sinning against Grace probably next in line to blaspheming the Holy Spirit!
