My Spirit Guide

by Tonja Taylor
9/28/2022 / Salvation

Most of us want guidance, sooner or later. Many people seek a "spirit guide" to help them. However, there is only One true Spirit Guide--and He is the Spirit of Jesus; the Spirit of God, Who lives inside us, "possessing" us as we allow Him, when we choose to believe in Christ Jesus' saving death for us on the cross over 2,000 years ago!

The LORD promises to guide us, and He has--even many times when we haven't realized it! He is faithful, forever, and the good, good, Father!

And the Lord shall guide you continually and satisfy you in drought and in dry places and make strong your bones. And you shall be like a watered garden and like a spring of water whose waters fail not.--Isaiah 58:11, AMPC

Today, in this crazy world, when even many who call themselves "Christians" are falling away from the truth of the Bible and the loving standards of God--we need The Spirit Guide, the Spirit of Truth, even more!

But when He, the Spirit of Truth (the Truth-giving Spirit) comes, He will guide you into all the Truth (the whole, full Truth). For He will not speak His own message [on His own authority]; but He will tell whatever He hears [from the Father; He will give the message that has been given to Him], and He will announce and declare to you the things that are to come [that will happen in the future].--John 16:13, AMPC

Often, we want the LORD to show us every detail of The Ephesisans 2:10 Path He has for us. That is usually not the case, and actually, that can be a good thing: He trusts us to read His Word and meditate on it to hide it in our hearts so the Spiriit Guide (the Holy Spirit, the Spirit of Truth) can bring it to our conscious minds when we are making decisions; to know that He is faithful to warn us (by, for me, the absence of peace, or the sudden or even gradual decrease in peace, which signals that I'm either going the wrong way, or He is redirecting me for a new season, and His reason(s)) about situations and people that we should not be connected with, or activities we should not do or stop doing; to be sensitive to Him and love Him enough to let Him lead us (He never drives; He is The Good Shepherd Who leads us in right paths (Psalm 23) to even better things; often new things, with which we may be uncomfortable at first, but which we choose to embrace, remembering God's faithfulness, goodness, mercy, generosity, and other lovingkindnesses to us!

He is good, forever, and there is no darkness, no evil in Him! HALELLUJAH! He is totally pure, and pure in His love toward us!

And this is the message [the message of promise] which we have heard from Him and now are reporting to you: God is Light, and there is no darkness in Him at all [no, not in any way].--I John 1:5, AMPC

God is Love, and He gave His only Son Jesus, that every person could be saved from a terrible, hellacious eternity, and instead have Heaven--now, on earth, and in the afterlife in Paradise! Hallelujah!

Not only that, but from the moment we receive Him, He comes into our hearts/spirits, and is with us always, to guide us. But He is a good, sweet, faithful, loving, gentle Savior. He is not harsh. He is Love (I John 4:8)!

If you need guidance, ask the LORD Jesus to forgive you and cleanse you of your sins, and come into your heart and be your Spirit Guide forever. He will, and He will be your Best Friend Forever!

14 And just as Moses lifted up the serpent in the desert [on a pole], so must [so it is necessary that] the Son of Man be lifted up [on the cross], 15 In order that everyone who believes in Him [who cleaves to Him, trusts Him, and relies on Him] may not perish, but have eternal life and [actually] live forever! 16 For God so greatly loved and dearly prized the world that He [even] gave up His only begotten (unique) Son, so that whoever believes in (trusts in, clings to, relies on) Him shall not perish (come to destruction, be lost) but have eternal (everlasting) life. 17 For God did not send the Son into the world in order to judge (to reject, to condemn, to pass sentence on) the world, but that the world might find salvation and be made safe and sound through Him.--John 3:14-17, AMPC

For everyone who calls upon the name of the Lord [invoking Him as Lord] will be saved.--Romans 10:13, AMPC

Why wait? The ultimate Spirit Guide Who loves you (no matter what!) is waiting to help you with every part of your life! So ask Him to help you today, and He will!
