Happier Housework With God!

Housework is always better to me when I'm doing something else at the same time--like singing and praying and praising God! This gets my mind off the routine and "drudgery" of housework, and helps me enter into the Presence of God, where I focus on Him and get thankful and glad!

I used to hate housework. In some ways, it seemed like a waste of time and effort.

It's not, of course, and the LORD has shown me such an easy, pleasant way to multi-task; to get the housework done, and actually enjoy it: by putting on good preaching, or true praise and worship music, or even instrumental music that is positive, while I work.

Like they do for me, these things can help change your mind and attitude from negativity and the "have-to" mentality, to positive, "get-to/thank-You-Lord-that-I-am-healthy-to-do-this" and other thankful thoughts, while you accomplish chores that must be done.

My husband and I no longer have kids in the house, but this can be even more impactful in a priceless way, when you have children to teach these things. You can even let them pick the praise and worship music to listen to--and peppy music can get you all going, while you can even burn more calories--and all sing and praise God together as you work!

Train up a child in the way he should go [and in keeping with his individual gift or bent], and when he is old he will not depart from it.--Proverbs 22:6, AMPC

Try it. It can only help! From experience, I know that listening to angry, sordid music can pervert right thinking--Christian or not. Music is very powerful, and the enemy knows that. Even more powerful is music that praises and worships the LORD, because His Presence is in music that truly exalts Him!

Yet you are holy, enthroned on the praises of Israel.--Psalm 22:3, ESV

King Jesus is returning very soon, and when you play praise and worship music; when you pray; when you listen to Bible-based preaching, you are inviting Him into your home. He is the ultimate Gentleman, and will never force Himself on anyone; but He died for all, and He longs for you to know Him (John 3:15-17)!

¹⁴And just as Moses lifted up the serpent in the desert [on a pole], so must [so it is necessary that] the Son of Man be lifted up [on the cross], ¹⁵In order that everyone who believes in Him [who cleaves to Him, trusts Him, and relies on Him] may not perish, but have eternal life and [actually] live forever! ¹⁶For God so greatly loved and dearly prized the world that He [even] gave up His only begotten (unique) Son, so that whoever believes in (trusts in, clings to, relies on) Him shall not perish (come to destruction, be lost) but have eternal (everlasting) life. ¹⁷For God did not send the Son into the world in order to judge (to reject, to condemn, to pass sentence on) the world, but that the world might find salvation and be made safe and sound through Him.--John 3:14-17 (AMPC)

The awesome God, Jesus Christ the LORD Who died for you on the cross and rose again after three days, totally victorious over the enemy and all evil for all time, cares about you, your family, your home, and He will help you with housework!

He is so awesome, and so sweet. When you invite His Presence by preparing the atmosphere with these God-glorifying things, He can give you witty ideas (because you are focused on Him and more easily able to perceive His thoughts--as long as you are truly born again because you have received Him as your Savior and LORD, of course! If not, you can ask Him right now to forgive you of your sins, cleanse your life and forgive you, and come into your heart and be your Savior and Lord. HE WILL!) even about housework, to get it done more efficiently!
