Renew My Strength

There’s no need to say that libraries have changed; that’s common knowledge. Though computers and the World Wide Web are efficient; many still rely on their school or hometown public library. Personally, I have used them and church libraries too. I have frequently needed to renew books I’d been reading.

I have a greater need.

LORD, renew my mind.

“Therefore I urge you, brothers and sisters, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living and holy sacrifice, acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service of worship.And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect (Romans 12:1-2 NASB).”

Father, Your will is perfect. I’m weary; please renew my strength.

“Do you not know? Have you not heard?
The Everlasting God, the Lord, the Creator of the ends of the earth
Does not become weary or tired.
His understanding is unsearchable.
He gives strength to the weary,
And to the one who lacks might He increases power.
Though youths grow weary and tired,
And vigorous young men stumble badly,
Yet those who wait for the Lord
Will gain new strength;
They will mount up with wings like eagles,
They will run and not get tired,
They will walk and not become weary (Isaiah 40:28-31 NASB).”
