How Are You Spending Your Wealth?

Do you realize that “wealth” means much more than finances?

"Wealth" includes abundant finances (and being able to rest and enjoy them, and not be controlled by them!) and is good health; loving family and other healthy relationships; satisfaction in our work; and most of all, the wonderful, sublime Presence of God and knowing that we please Him by embracing and fulfilling His will for our lives.

It is the LORD's will for us to have wealth, in every dimension of our lives!

Wealth and riches shall be in his house: and his righteousness endureth for ever.--Psalm 112:3, KJV

There are conditions for this, of course, and the first one is to truly believe in what the blood of Jesus Christ did for us when He died on the cross to pay for our sins (John 3:14-17). Hallelujah!

But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.--Romans 5:8, KJV

The next is to fear the LORD. This includes tithing off the gross of every cent of income. (The LORD could ask for 30% or 50% or 70% or more, but He only asks us for a mere 10% to help fund the church's activities for outreach and such!).

"Fearing the LORD" includes getting into His Word and listening to Bible-based preaching and teaching, and doing what we know to do to obey Him, and repenting and changing things that don't please Him; that don't line up with the Word.

God is the good, good Father, Who adopted us on purpose to lavish His love upon us! Hallelujah! He, the Holy God Who created and sustains us and all life by the Word of His power, sent Jesus--the Crown Jewel of Heaven, the Darling of God, the Light of the universe!--to die the most outrageous death for us, because we could not pay for our own sins!

After these things the word of the Lord came unto Abram in a vision, saying, Fear not, Abram: I am thy shield, and thy exceeding great reward.--Genesis 15:1, KJV

Jesus is the true Wealth. When we have Him and stay close to Him through His Word, worship, and prayer, we realize that all the money and materials in the world could never match His sublime Presence, Who is with us always!

Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.--Matthew 28:20, KJV

Money is a tool, and the LORD does want us to have a lot of it, so He can establish His Covenant with us and show the world how good He is to His kids, and expand His Kingdom with it.

Ask the LORD to draw you closer to Him, and to reveal more about the wealth of Himself to you. He will!
