Sing to the LORD to Increase Your Joy!

¹ O clap your hands, all you peoples! Shout to God with the voice of triumph and songs of joy! ² For the Lord Most High excites terror, awe, and dread; He is a great King over all the earth.

⁶ Sing praises to God, sing praises! Sing praises to our King, sing praises! ⁷ For God is the King of all the earth; sing praises in a skillful psalm and with understanding.--Psalm 47:1-2, 6-7, AMPC

One of the very best, easiest, and completely free ways to increase your joy is to sing to the LORD!

Singing comes naturally to most children--and they are not concerned with how others perceive them. They just sing, sing, sing, and enjoy the process.

I think that, as adults, one of the reasons we enjoy singing in the shower is because we are (usually, at least) not concerned with how we sound. Plus, the warm moisture helps lubricate our throats and the sound flows better anyway. 

As we mature in Christ, also, we learn to sing songs of praise and worship to the LORD, and then our songs blend with others. 

There is a wonderful special time with the LORD, when we sing our love songs to Him. Just like anyone we love, they like to hear our endearments. How much more does the LORD love it!

He is joy (and all the fruit of the Spirit--Galatians 5:22), and when we sing to Him songs of love, adoration, worship, and praise, our joy rises, and so does His!

Some Hebrew scholars say the LORD sang the world into existence. Totally cool! 

There is great power in words that are sung, to raise our spirits, to help us remember God's goodness, even to break off curses and other negative things!

I heard today on a Christian radio station that "Joy to the World" was not written just for Christmas, but for every day! I agree. Hallelujah! We celebrate the LORD and sing to Him every day, amen and amen!

The LORD takes great pleasure when we, His children (by our faith in what the Blood of Jesus did for us on the cross over 2,000 years ago; John 3:14-17, Romans 10:13) sing to Him, our dear Daddy God. 

Sing, sing, sing to the King Who is worthy of all praise, today!
