Choose to Use the Power of Your Freedom!

by Tonja Taylor

You are a free agent; not just if you live in the USA (and some true Believers have had the enemy challenge their Christian freedoms).

The LORD God, the Creator and Sustainer of Heaven and earth and all the universe(s), chose to give every human a free will.

In that freedom, we can be free from the negatives, including fear.

Who were chosen and foreknown by God the Father and consecrated (sanctified, made holy) by the Spirit to be obedient to Jesus Christ (the Messiah) and to be sprinkled with [His] blood: May grace (spiritual blessing) and peace be given you in increasing abundance [that spiritual peace to be realized in and through Christ, freedom from fears, agitating passions, and moral conflicts].--I Peter 1:2, AMPC

You can use that will to do good, and choose Christ Jesus to be your LORD, or you can choose to use your free will to reject Christ--and then the fallen and defeated one, satan, the enemy of God, will be your "lord".

(There are only two choices!)

[Live] as free people, [yet] without employing your freedom as a pretext for wickedness; but [live at all times] as servants of God.--I Peter 2:16, AMPC

"Freedom" means different things to different people. However, the Sovereign LORD gave us a free will. It is because of man's free will that there is sin and death in the world, but we can use our free will to serve God and be catalysts for positive change!

Man was created to be free. Just like anything, freedom can be abused, but the greatest freedom by far is the freedom to know and serve and experience the truly awesome, faithful, all-encompassing love of our Father God (He is our Father when we choose to repent of our sins and recognize we need His Son, Jesus, Who shed His pure blood on the cross over 2,000 years ago to pay for our sins, to be our LORD and Savior! John 3:14-17, Romans 5:8-11)

8 But God shows and clearly proves His [own] love for us by the fact that while we were still sinners, Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed One) died for us. 9 Therefore, since we are now justified ]acquitted, made righteous, and brought into right relationship with God) by Christ’s blood, how much more [certain is it that] we shall be saved by Him from the indignation and wrath of God. 10 For if while we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, it is much more [certain], now that we are reconciled, that we shall be saved (daily delivered from sin’s dominion) through His [resurrection] life. 11 Not only so, but we also rejoice and exultingly glory in God [in His love and perfection] through our Lord Jesus Christ, through Whom we have now received and enjoy [our] reconciliation.--Romans 8:8-11, AMPC)

One of the most powerful ways we operate in freedom is by our words; our spoken and written words.

20 A man’s [moral] self shall be filled with the fruit of his mouth; and with the consequence of his words he must be satisfied [whether good or evil]. 21 Death and life are in the power of the  tongue, and they who indulge in it shall eat the fruit of it [for death or life].--Proverbs 18:20-21, AMPC

It is my opinion that, other than the Spirit of God, words are the most powerful thing in the world--even above money.

With our words, we can advance our freedom--or hinder it.

With our words, we can limit ourselves and others, or expand the visions and dreams and plans and goals and confidence of ourselves and others.

With our words, we--whether we are ever "famous" or not--can change the world!

Changing the world for good--for God!--is why we are still on the planet!

It is with words that God created the world and everything in it with His words--except man. He formed Adam and Eve with His own hands, in His image! Hallelujah! Gen. 1:26-27, and 2:7, 21-22),

Because God loves us, and didn't want to be separated from us (which is what happened when Adam and Eve sinned--plunging every human that would ever be born into the sin nature, doomed for hell unless God in His mercy intervened!), He sent His Son Jesus, to be born of a virgin and live as one of us, but resisting sin in every way; staying pure, so that He could be the perfect sacrifice for us on the cross and pay the sin debt (which we could never pay!). Hallelujah!

The LORD our God provided the Way (Jesus; the only Way!) back to Him. Hallelujah!

Jesus said to him, I am the Way and the Truth and the Life; no one comes to the Father except by (through) Me.--John 14:6, AMPC

Because of Jesus' blood, which covers us eternally when we receive Him and follow (love, worship, and obey) Him as our Savior and LORD, we are given the freedom to approach the truly awesome, all-knowing, all-powerful Sovereign God Who created and sustains Heaven and earth, and talk with Him anywhere, any time, about anything! Hallelujah, glory glory glory to God!

In Whom, because of our faith in Him, we dare to have the boldness (courage and confidence) of free access (an unreserved approach to God with freedom and without fear).--Ephesians 3:12, AMPC

In my opinion, one of the truest forms of freedom means freedom from fear! God never intended us to suffer fear. Fear is always from the enemy.

God gave us faith and power and victory and freedom and love (and more)!

For God did not give us a spirit of timidity (of cowardice, of craven and cringing and fawning fear), but [He has given us a spirit] of power and of love and of calm and well-balanced mind and discipline and  and self-control.--II Timothy 1:7, AMPC

When King Jesus returns (very soon!) to take all of us who truly believe in Him (by faith in what His shed blood shed on the cross over 2,000 years ago did to save us from the penalty of our sins) back to Heaven with Him, then we will have the ultimate freedom.

But we look for new heavens and a new earth according to His promise, in which righteousness (uprightness, freedom from sin, and right standing with God) is to abide.--2 Peter 3:13, AMPC

Meanwhile, we draw closer to the LORD, (Who is the Spirit of Freedom; 2 Corinthians 3:17) , by studying and speaking His Word; attending a Bible-believing church in which we continually grow spiritually; pray to the LORD daily, in sweet relationship with Him; worship and praise Him and very often daily thank Him for His goodness to us; and obey Him otherwise as His all-wise, wonderful Spirit leads us to act to show His love, we will become more free in Christ!

Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty (emancipation from bondage, freedom).--2 Cor. 3:17, AMPC

We will refuse and reject the yokes (bondage; traps; limits) of the world and the enemy, and will enjoy greater trust and ease and grace and peace and joy and confidence in the knowledge of the eternal, unchanging Love of our Savior, Jesus Christ the LORD, and His Father, Jehovah, Who are One!

May grace (God’s favor) and peace (which is perfect well-being, all necessary good, all spiritual prosperity, and freedom from fears and agitating passions and moral conflicts) be multiplied to you in [the full, personal, precise, and correct] knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord.--2 Peter 1:2, AMPC

You are a free agent, even if you never received Christ Jesus as your Savior and LORD.

You are free to choose sin, hell, and death, which at its core is eternal separation from God, Who is Love--and Who is the Reason you exist and have had any good in your life at all!

You may not believe, but the Resurrected One is so very merciful and gracious, that He will even help you believe in Him! He will reveal Himself and His Love to you, and in fact, is doing that as you read this!

You have nothing to lose by receiving Jesus Christ as your Savior--except the curse; the bad; death in every area!

You have Heaven to gain--not just when your body dies, but now, in the Presence of His Majesty, the LORD God!

What are you waiting for? If you want to use your power as a free agent to choose Christ and make the best, most liberating decision of your life, then say this simple prayer out loud (Jehovah is so gracious and patient, and very easy to please!):  Dear God, I choose to use my free will to believe that You are the holy God, and that You are speaking to my heart right now. I need You to please forgive me of all I've done wrong. I choose to believe that Jesus Christ shed His blood on the cross at Calvary to pay for the sins, for which I could never pay, no matter how many good things I do. I let You be my Sacrifice, LORD Jesus! I receive You. Please come into my heart by Your Spirit and be my Savior and LORD and Best Friend Forever! In Your Name, amen!

Now, if you just said that prayer, you have chosen to use your free will to use your words to agree with the most powerful legal transaction there ever was! You have been translated from the defeated, temporary, horrid kingdom of darkness, into the glorious, victorious, all-conquering, eternal Kingdom of Light! You are now a Child of the Living God, adopted into the eternal Royal Family!

Congratulations on using your freedom to make the very best decision of your life!

You are a free agent--now much more eternally free than ever before!

Now, use the power of your freedom to go tell others how to be truly free!
