Eliminate Your Limits With the Help of the LORD!

by Tonja Taylor
3/03/2023 / Christian Living

In [this] freedom Christ has made us free [and completely liberated us]; stand fast then, and do not be hampered and held ensnared and  submit again to a yoke of slavery [which you have once put off].--Galatians 5:1, AMPC

I was tutoring a student the other day, over an online platform. At one point, I started seeing the outline of a box around the student’s work, and he told me he could not see past a certain point, even though I could.

He had a limit, and he could not see the boundaries, although he could tell they were there--for he could go no further than those invisible lines.

Unlike God, I could not tell him how to get rid of those limits, but like God, I did not have any limits on my end.

Hallelujah!

The thought came to me that he had somehow created that limit for himself, even though he had no idea how it happened.

I know I’ve been like that many times in my life. I repent right now of allowing and even causing limits in my life; most of all, I repent to the Father for limiting Him!

The LORD gave me wisdom, and I suggested that the student refresh his screen. That eliminated the limits.

Now’s the season for times of refreshing in the LORD!

So repent (change your mind and purpose); turn around and return [to God], that your sins may be erased (blotted out, wiped clean), that times of refreshing (of recovering from the effects of heat, of reviving with fresh air) may come from the presence of the Lord;--Acts 3:19, AMPC

The LORD told me a few months ago that He was going to "break me out of boxes (limits)." He is doing that! Often, the breakthroughs come in ways we don't expect, but we can always expect our loving Father to do His Word; to be faithful and good, and do much more than we could dream!

Jesus Christ died on the cross over 2,000 years ago to pay for all our sins, so we could be free!

31 So Jesus said to those Jews who had believed in Him, If you abide in My word [hold fast to My teachings and live in accordance with them], you are truly My disciples. 32 And you will know the Truth, and the Truth will set you free.--John 8:31-32, AMPC

God's plan was for us to be free--free to choose and follow Him--from the Beginning.

In my opinion, limits come down to two things: ignorance ("Ignorance" does not mean stupid, but simply not knowing something.) and fear.

Usually, it's fear that keeps us from going forward when the LORD is trying to lead us to richer pastures and higher ground (Ask me how I know.).

So, we ask the LORD for wisdom, and to strengthen our hearts; to be bold and courageous; to remember His faithfulness and goodness and mercy, every moment of our lives!

(I'm preaching to myself!)

These are strange and supernatural times. We ask the LORD to help us think differently, and follow Him completely (Numbers 14); to trust in Him with all our hearts and lean not to our own understanding, but to acknowledge (one version says, "submit") Him in all our ways, and know that He directs our paths (Proverbs 3:5-6).

They are always and forever good paths, prepared ahead of time for us to walk in (Ephesians 2:10). Hallelujah!

He is faithful. He will.

Tell Him, as my husband and I are, that you don't want to keep your limits.

Repent (as we are doing) for limiting Him and yourself.

Ask Him (as we are also doing) to help you dream and plan bigger, for He loves to put His "super" on our "natural".

He is, after all, the awesome God, and we don't, as Reverend Jesse Duplantis says, want to bore God!

Oh, thank You, LORD, for new adventures in You--no more limits, for You are The Unlimited One!

Who is like You, O Lord, among the 'gods'? Who is like You, glorious in holiness, awesome in splendor, doing wonders?--Exoducs 15:11, AMPC

Say to God, How awesome and fearfully glorious are Your works! Through the greatness of Your power shall Your enemies submit themselves to You [with feigned and reluctant obedience].--Psalm 66:3, AMPC

Let them confess and praise Your great name, awesome and reverence inspiring! It is holy, and holy is He!--Psalm 99:3, AMPC

O Lord, there is none like You, nor is there any God beside You, according to all that our ears have heard.--I Chronicles 17:20, AMPC

Who would not fear You, O King of the nations? For it is fitting to You and Your due! For among all the wise [men or 'gods'] of the nations and in all their kingdoms, there is none like You.--Jeremiah 10:7, AMPC
