It's Wisdom to Follow the Cloud

He was still speaking when, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them, and a voice from the cloud said, “This is my beloved Son, with whom I am well pleased; listen to him.”--Matthew 17:5, ESV

"The Cloud" is not just an Old Testament thing. King Jesus is returning soon--in The Cloud! Let us follow Him; move when He moves. Hallelujah!

Learning to follow "The Cloud," is the highlight and wisdom of a true Believer's life. (I use to represent the Holy Spirit, Who is our perfect Guide; the Spirit of Truth Who forever leads us in right paths, to protect us and deliver us from errors, and lead us into the best life ever, the Zoe life (John 10:10).)

13 When the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all the truth, for he will not speak on his own authority, but whatever he hears he will speak, and he will declare to you the things that are to come. 14 He will glorify me, for he will take what is mine and declare it to you. 15 All that the Father has is mine; therefore I said that he will take what is mine and declare it to you.--John 16:13-15, ESV

The challenge is that we are in the world, and the junk of the world, the cares of life, the devil, etc., can all be distractions from truly hearing and understanding the will of the LORD (Mark 4:14-20).

In these final days of The Last Days (right before King Jesus comes to rescue the true Believers--the true Church--from the demonically-controlled mess and darkness of this world system), we must learn to hear accurately from God and be flexible; willing to change, even at a moment's notice, to follow Him Who truly loves us and gave Himself for us!

And I have other sheep [beside these] that are not of this fold. I must bring and impel those also; and they will listen to My voice and heed My call, and so there will be [they will become] one flock under one Shepherd.--John 10:16, AMPC

When the Israelites followed the Cloud by day and the pillar of fire by night, they understood those were manifestations of the LORD. They had to have those signs, because they did not have Jesus living in their hearts as the Holy Spirit, like we do when we truly believe and receive what Jesus did for us on the cross by spilling His pure blood to save us from our sins.

For while we were still weak, at the right time Christ died for the ungodly.--Romans 5:6, ESV

They also only had a few books of the Bible, not the entire Old and New Testament, like we do!

In addition, they did not have the baptism of the Holy Spirit, which is a different and deeper dimension of filling by the LORD, which is primarily for service to expand the Kingdom of God.

2 And suddenly there came from heaven a sound like a mighty rushing wind, and it filled the entire house where they were sitting. 3 And divided tongues as of fire appeared to them and rested on each one of them. 4 And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit gave them utterance.--Acts 2:2-4, ESV

(Every Believer is filled with the Holy Spirit when they are born again into the Kingdom, by believing in what the Blood of Jesus Christ the Messiah did for every human, when He gave His life as a sacrifice on the cross over 2,000 years ago to save humanity from all the sins! Each of us must receive Him as our own personal Savior and LORD!)

13 For “everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”--Romans 10:13, ESV

Praise the LORD, we do have the perfect, unchanging, eternal Word of God; His will for us! We have the Holy Spirit, Who is Jesus in our hearts, and Who is faithful to lead us away from wrong and into right--even if it's different than our experiences and teaching.

²⁴But My servant Caleb, because he has a different spirit and has followed Me fully, I will bring into the land into which he went, and his descendants shall possess it.--Numbers 14:24, AMPC

¹⁶For who has known or understood the mind (the counsels and purposes) of the Lord so as to guide and instruct Him and give Him knowledge? But we have the mind of Christ (the Messiah) and do hold the thoughts (feelings and purposes) of His heart.--I Corinthians 2:16, AMPC

God always does His Word, no matter what anyone thinks or says about it, and, praise Him, that is what He will always do. God and His Word are One!

10 For as the rain and snow come down from the heavens, and return not there again, but water the earth and make it bring forth and sprout, that it may give seed to the sower and bread to the eater, 11 So shall My word be that goes forth out of My mouth: it shall not return to Me void [without producing any effect, useless], but it shall accomplish that which I please and purpose, and it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.--Isaiah 55:10-11, AMPC

Then said the Lord to me, You have seen well, for I am alert and active, watching over My word to perform it.--Jerermiah 1:12, AMPC

God is the perfect Parent. We Who are His true children--who have truly repented of our sins and asked Him to forgive us and come into our hearts as our Savior and LORD--have the ability to hear His Voice and follow it.

For [the Spirit which] you have now received [is] not a spirit of slavery to put you once more in bondage to fear, but you have received the Spirit of adoption [the Spirit producing sonship] in [the bliss of] which we cry, Abba (Father)!--Romans 8:15, AMPC

The LORD is so merciful that He will help even sinners (not born again through repentance and belief in Christ as the Savior) and guide them away from danger and wrong into right things. He is not willing that any person should die, but He wants all to come to repentance and learn to live a wonderful life loving Him and being loved by Him!

The Lord is good to all, and His tender mercies are over all His works [the entirety of things created].--Psalm 145:9, AMPC

Actually, every person is abundantly and eternallly loved by Him, even if they choose to reject Him and go to hell; even if they use the free will He gave them to scorn Him and refuse the best gift of all--eternal life in Christ Jesus the LORD!

…22 But now that you have been set free from sin and have become slaves to God, the fruit you reap leads to holiness, and the outcome is eternal life. 23 For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. --Romans 6:22-23, Berean Study Bible

Daddy God is so very good! He leads us in surprising paths, that may make no sense to our minds, but that are always exactly what we need--although it may not seem like it at the time.

5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. 6 In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.--Proverbs 3:5-6, ESV

There is some comfort in knowing that, no matter how hard the change, the LORD knows that, with His help, we can handle it, and He will see us through. He is faithful forever!

…12 if we endure, we will also reign with Him; if we deny Him, He will also deny us; 13 if we are faithless, He remains faithful, for He cannot deny Himself. --2 Timothy 2:12-13, Berean Study Bible

He always--as much as we cooperate (let Him lead and correct and teach us) with Him, and our good, good Father even helps us with that!--does Genesis 50:20 and Romans 8:28:

²⁰As for you, you thought evil against me, but God meant it for good, to bring about that many people should be kept alive, as they are this day.--Genesis 50:20, AMPC

²⁸We are assured and know that [^a]">[a]God being a partner in their labor] all things work together and are [fitting into a plan] for good to and for those who love God and are called according to [His] design and purpose.--Romans 8:28, AMPC

King Jesus will return--very soon!-in the clouds. (Some say "the clouds" are holy angels, escorting Him.)

Jesus said to him, “You have said so. But I tell you, from now on you will see the Son of Man seated at the right hand of Power and coming on the clouds of heaven.”--Matthew 26:64, ESV

If you want to be born again by repenting (asking forgiveness of your sins against God Who created you, and Who is holy and timeless, all-knowing, all-powerful, and Who is Love--I John 4:8-then say this prayer out loud: Dear God, I need You to please forgive me of all my sins against You. You are holy, and I choose to believe that because You gave Your Son, Jesus Christ, to die for me on the cross over 2,000 years ago and shed all His blood, I can be free of the penalty of my sins, and receive eternal abundant Life in You now.

I choose to believe that, because You are so good and merciful and loving, that I will go to Heaven when I die, and live with You in paradise forever! I believe and receive You now, and thank You so much! I renounce my past, and enter into this wonderful new Life with You, Master! In Your Name, amen!

Now, if you meant that, You have been instantly adopted into the Royal Family of God, and are now a royal heir of Jehovah, Adonai, Yahweh, Elohim (all names of the same God, Who is God alone!)--the Most High God! You are now a brother or sister with the LORD Jesus, God's Son, and God loves you as much as He loves Jesus! The angels are having a party over your most excellent decision!

Now that you are in God's Family, here is another prayer to help you walk in the right paths of your new life:

Quick prayer: Dear Jesus, please help me to be sensitive and obedient to Your Voice; to flow with You, to follow You, for my very best Ephesians 2:10 Life! in Your Name, amen!
