VISIONS OF THE KING - I Am His Bride!
by Tonja Taylor
5/08/2023 / Short Stories
Let us be glad and rejoice, and let us give honor to him. For the time has come for the wedding feast of the Lamb, and his bride has prepared herself.--Revelation 19:7, NLT
During a powerful class at my church, we invited the Holy Spirit to speak to us in a way that would assure us that He was with us.
I was so touched at the vision He gave me, that I wept silent tears of joy!
In the vision, I was a young, joyful bride, radiant with thanksgiving and anticipation, dressed in a gloriously elegant wedding gown, with a very long train! I was in a huge, cathedral-style church, with stained glass windows and extremely high, ornate ceilings.
There were hundreds of people in the pews.
My train was held by my daughter, about four years old, and she was happy about it.
I was walking up to my royal bridegroom--Who was the LORD Jesus Himself, tall and handsome, dressed in the white military uniform of an officer! He wore His officer's hat, and He was beaming at me, with eyes so loving and deep.
I was amazed and overwhelmed and totally thrilled, as I thought, I am His Bride!
The vision was only a few seconds, but very powerful, very real.
The LORD will do the same for you! Ask the Holy Spirit, Who is God, Who loves and knows you better than you know yourself, to speak to you in a way that you know that He is communicating with you, even if you don't hear words. He will!
As a true Believer--one who has asked the LORD's forgiveness of all your sins, and for Christ Jesus to come into your heart and be your Savior and LORD (and constant Companion and Friend!)--you are the Bride of Christ!
One night the Lord spoke to Paul in a vision and told him, “Don’t be afraid! Speak out! Don’t be silent!--Acts 18:9, NLT
We proclaim to you the one who existed from the beginning, whom we have heard and seen. We saw him with our own eyes and touched him with our own hands. He is the Word of life.--I John 1:1, NLT
21 And further, submit to one another out of reverence for Christ. 22 For wives, this means submit to your husbands as to the Lord. 23 For a husband is the head of his wife as Christ is the head of the church. He is the Savior of his body, the church. 24 As the church submits to Christ, so you wives should submit to your husbands in everything. 25 For husbands, this means love your wives, just as Christ loved the church. He gave up his life for her 26 to make her holy and clean, washed by the cleansing of God’s word.2 7 He did this to present her to himself as a glorious church without a spot or wrinkle or any other blemish. Instead, she will be holy and without fault.--Ephesians 5:21-27, NLT
