This new voyage on which you have begun
Is taking you into, as yet, uncharted territory.
It is a journey not 'cross distant seas,
Nor to foreign lands, but to deep within your self.
It is a time, during which you will discover hidden depths,
And strength you could never believe you possessed
On it you will make new friendships and deepen old.
You will discover new loves, new joys and new life
Things you may once have taken for granted
Will become so very precious
Like jewels mined from deep within earth's darkness.
Supported by loved ones near and far
You are strong enough for this your own odyssey
So go with fortitude to reach your appointed destination
that is you.

I live in the UK, and attend an evangelical Church of England, where I am training as a Reader, (lay preacher). I support the work of a Christian Healing Centre, and enjoy writing, particularly poetry.
