My Hiding Place

You are my hiding place
You will protect me from trouble
and surround me with songs
of deliverance.
Psalm 32: 7

My Hiding Place

In times of trouble I have someone to go to. Jesus always bids me to come to Him whenever I am in need of a friend or counselor. I find it in Him. I can bring all my needs to Him and He cares and listens to my heart cry. He makes me victorious in it. I can hide safely in Him from life's storms that rage. In Him I am protected against all wiles of Satan.
Troubles shall never overthrow me for He is mine;
I have embraced the offer of his salvation,
I have taken shelter in his love and compassion;
I have placed myself under his wings and covered myself with the robe of his righteousness; and now, I am safe."

I need never sink them into a dejection of spirit, or indifference in his mercy!
Although there are storms, there's a strong ship under foot;
although there is thunder and lightning, I find shelter in Him
I shall be preserved.
Although trodden into earth with scorns and contempt, the seed is buried, to multiplymore.

"He is mine; I have embraced the offer of his salvation, "says David; "I have applied to him in my own person: I have, as a sinner, taken shelter in his love and compassion;
I have placed myself under his wings; I have covered myself with the robe of his righteousness; and now, therefore, I am safe."

Trouble shall do me no real harm when the Lord is with me, rather it shall bring me much benefit. I have a joyful present; this is a cheerful future with songs of deliverance. Like David I am encircled in song, surrounded by dancing mercies, all of them proclaiming the triumphs of grace.

Ponder on this love so amazing, and joy so great.
Language fails to express it.

And a man shall be as an hiding place from the wind, and a covert from the tempest; as rivers of water in a dry place, as the shadow of a great rock in a weary land. Isaiah 32:2
