Fast, Food, Friends!

Have you ever had a friend that you were really crazy about and then you make the mistake of fasting together? LOL!!! I had a friend like that about seven years ago, we did everything together, we went out to eat, we went to the movies, we went shopping together. I invited her to my church when we first met she came and the first visit was so hilarious! We began to pray in tongues in the service and she looked over at me like "have you lost your mind!".

But she came back even after that service and eventually joined the church. We were both so on fire for the Lord at the time, we decided we would pray in tongues together on the phone for at least an hour everyday.

We would call each other and sing songs to the Lord while we were on the phone. We would pray together on the phone. We were going pretty good until we had to start fasting. Fasting will definitely bring some stuff out of you. Our church was on a fast and my friend already came from a family that loved to argue so she was naturally argumentive. I on the other hand grew up in a peaceful environment with Nana, but even Nana had one flaw and so did I.

We both would get real irritable when we were hungry. So on this particular day of the fast I and my friend made the mistake of spending the day together. We were in her car on the way to the evening service and I think I told her to speed up or something, she snapped back and asked me if I wanted to drive.

I just got quiet cause I knew I was fasting and I didn't want to manifest. But ofcourse the devil wasn't going to let me keep the peace, so she then proceeded to hound me about why I was being quiet. Then next I know we're into a huge argument. So here we are two Saved Saints on the way to church arguing and screaming and almost coming to blows!

On the way to church! We pulled up in the parking lot and ofcourse saw some other Saints and made an attempt to lower our voices. We bumped into each other trying to get thru the door needless to say I could not enjoy that service at all.

The Praise and Worship was good as usual but picture this, here I am fuming because I'm angry with her, I have this stony expression on my face. She is fuming cause she's angry with me and literally rolling her eyes at me.

And ofcourse God is looking at the both of us just shaking his head. God spoke to me in service and replayed the whole incident to me. Me being the one older in the Lord should have behaved better and not allowed myself to be goaded. So on the way home I fought with the Holy Spirit cause I really didn't want to apologize. Gritted my teeth and tried to keep my mouth shut.

But ofcourse I humbled myself and apologized and she accepted my apology, and did not apologize to me at all! But I was so hungry I didn't even stay upset with her as soon as she dropped me off I ran upstairs and got my food off the stove that Nana had heated up for me. After that day I decided it would be a good thing for us not to hook up when we are fasting.

But that is not the end, we were fasting on another occasion not with the church this time. We just decided to do it on our own so I call her up on the phone to see how the fast is coming. She tells me "oh girl I haven't ate nothing I'm so hungry!'. Then her younger brother snatched the phone from her and said "she's just lying to you she's sitting right here with a big stack of pancakes and bacon on her plate!".

Ofcourse I became furious because the plan was for us to fast together. She got back on the phone stammering that she was sorry she lied. I was by that time in full manifestation and hung up the phone. Nana in the meantime was standing in the doorway I told her that my friend lied about fasting. Nana just laughed and said "leave that girl alone, let her eat!".
