Friends sometimes can be too much
Sometimes you don't want to touch
Your mind yells make them go away
I will not listen - no more today
Quiet time is what I need
Pick and choose now some new seed
Time to sort through all this mess
What went wrong now more or less?
Don't get me wrong friends aren't bad
Sometimes they help when we are sad
Sometimes the best to have around
If they help us when we fall down
Now when they cross that fragile line
They refuse to see YOUR IN PAIN sign
They speak words, which do not cheer
Silence is better sometimes my dear
Don't be afraid to tell them STOP
Don't let them destroy your entire crop
To your friend in love just say
I love you now please go away
Please don't help no more today

Currently, I am experiencing what you have shared in your poem. I am a mother of 3. The children are 5, 3, and 1 year(s) of age. I am homeschooling. Both my husband and I are Christian.
I am so overwhelmed these days....so much to do. I stay up at night so that I can have individual time (away from the demands of the day ... also I get peace and quiet [a chance to think]).
I am not quite sure, but I think I am beginning to lose my identity. Feeling like I don't matter and that I am only worth what I can do for the next person. It's frustrating to think that I have to sacrifice time of rest so that I can have a chance to develop my mind or even take time to read. (Incidentally, I have just cancelled my e-mail account that connects me with most of my family and friends. I have pulled away from friends and family since late September when homeschooling started. This was done in an effort to keep up with the daily demands as homemaker, wife, and homeschooling parent).
Just wondering when it gets better. What is it that God wants me to do?
I think He just answered me.
God is in control. As I have heard so often, "Let go and let God."
May you be blessed in knowing that you are not alone in this life experience (if you don't mind my saying -- as I identify with you on varying levels). I have prayed for you before closing.
In God's grace,
