In tribute to a man so jolly
We deck the malls with green of Holly
Christmas now in zone of gray
New catch all phrase: "The Holiday"
A feel-sweet time for what it's worth
Mere nod to Love and Peace on earth
It's all about a short plump guy
And elves who toil and deer that fly
Displays of glitzy Ritz and shine
A time to party, wine and dine
And watch that play of Christmas ghosts
Or TV Grinch who stole the most
There's natural need to look for reason
Behind this flashy, red suit season
A homing thing we can't ignore
Searching on from store to store
Beneath the shallow joy and mirth
Found deep inside each one from birth
God made our fine tuned spirit heart
To seek true pattern's missing part
In silent streets of midnight clear
With open minds whose ears can hear
He would speak to each, his heir,
Though some may stumble unaware
Down detour roads entrenched in danger
The real path led to lowly manger
Where costly present wrapped for man
Redeemed, but on the three-day plan
From babe to man in thirty-three
The crowning touch on Christmas tree
He Died. He rose - our Rose - in fact is living
Love's perfect GIFT, He keeps on GIVING
