Last night I ask God for an answer
He immediately gave it to me.
I kept on telling Him about the situation
Until suddenly He allowed me to see
That instead of using the answer He gave me
I kept trying to give Him all the details.
Then I realized that was the reason I needed wisdom
For it's my way that always fails.
I had the answer just handed to me
I should have just started to pray
But, the need I had to keep on talking
Was the very thing that stood in the way
So, I shut down the thoughts in my mind.
They had stormed we worse than a flood.
I started to pray the way God told me to
Beginning in the name of Jesus and the power of His blood
I ask Him to put a hedge of thorns
Around someone that I love dear.
To please use the biggest ones and thickest available
His peace came and overwhelmed my fear.
The prayer worked really well for me.
For I did what God told me to.
Then I said, I am sorry, Father
For the details You already knew.

My poems are spiritual lessons God teaches me in my walk with Him. The more I learn, the more I find I need to be taught by Him. If we really want to be like Him we have to be ready for all the changes He brings to us.
