WHAT IS LIFE COACHING?

A life coach is a person who works with individuals to help them develop the life they truly want for themselves. Effective coaches are able to help their clients determine what they really want out of life and empower their clients to attain their goals by helping them discover and implement a plan of action that includes all of the steps necessary to achieve those goals.

Coaches also "live by example." Having gone through the life changes and struggles that you and many others are going through, coaches have many effective tools that will equip you to move forward through those life changes and cope with struggles that may have been more difficult to handle on your own.

Coaching can fit into anyone's schedule, as it is usually done by appointment over the phone, through several sessions per month, and generally covers a period of four to six months. Most coaches include e-mail follow-up in between telephone sessions to offer additional support to their clients.

Basically, a life coach is:

* someone who knows how to get you to your goals and to the life you were meant to live

* your personal support network to help you make changes for the better in your life

* a focused individual who can help you stay focused on what is truly important to you

* a friend who wants to see you succeed as much as you want to succeed

* a survivor of many of life's difficulties and has discovered how to overcome numerous obstacles

* a confidant with whom you can be open and honest, knowing that your conversations will not be shared with anyone else

A Christian Life Coach brings one additional factor into the coaching equation--spirituality. The coaching relationship is triangular, with you, the coach, and God, working in harmony with one another as you embark on your new journey. By having a coach with compassion and experience, relying on God's strength and wisdom, you are destined to achieve almost anything you can imagine.
