Before my heart beat
He whispered 'My love'
In my distress
He heard my cry
Before my sigh escaped
His wings sheltered me
In my distress
He heard my cry
Before the darkness fell
The name Jesus touched my lips
In my distress
He heard my cry
Before my fears came to be
His quietness stilled my soul
In my distress
He heard my cry
Before accusing tongues lashed out
His army of angels encamped around me
In my distress
He heard my cry
He is ever before me
He is ever beside me
He is ever behind me
Nothing
Absolutely nothing
Can separate us from the love of God
