'A friend loves at all times' Proverbs 17:17 (NAS)

I closed my eyes and beheld a meadow; green as an emerald and vibrant as a child's laughter. Flowers, rising from rich soil, spill tranquility with sweet fragrance. I rest in a field of daffodils absorbed in the warmth of sun and the caress of a gentle summer breeze. Ahead, concealed by a knoll, I hear the familiar footsteps of a memorable soul. Oh, that comforting spirit remembered from days past! The all-consuming love and confidant where I once found complete trust and security.

Please hurry, I long to see you!

Where have those days gone? The days of a child that knew no hatred, betrayal or blame. Oh, how I hunger to confide in you once more! Your wise and trustworthy companionship would be sweet nourishment to my soul. I need your non-condemning but truthful words to guide me. With so many years past, there is much you should know and more I must confess. My heart now overflows with regret and sorrow; in whom shall I trust?

Please hurry, I long to confide in you!

My admiration for you is unsurpassed by any other and our companionship unmatched. Dear teacher and friend, beyond any comparison, I have missed you. The memory of our blissful walks and joyful laughter is now but a pale vapor. Where have you been?

Please hurry, I long to laugh with you!

To many you are brother or son, and to some, father. To others you are teacher or even husband. But you were always my confidante. The sound of your footsteps heightens as anticipation fills my heart. I cannot wait any longer. With overflowing joy, I hurry through flowers to meet you beyond the knoll. Your spirit of devotion has, at last, returned. My eyes will again behold the true lover of my soul.

Please stay, I long to live with you...

...Jesus!!!!
