The Face of Evil, Obama ?

What is evil & what does it look like ? Are there any absolutes or is it merely relative to every individual's preferences or prejudices ? (First of all we would do well to know the simple definition: bad, wicked, wrong or perverse.)

These questions however, of evil & what it might look like hit me square in the face while looking at the photo of Barack Obama & his wife smiling & waving to an adoring audience. On the surface, this certainly could not be the face of evil could it ? But then, what exactly is evil supposed to look like ? Isn't evil supposed to look like well, evil ! Beady eyes & an odd, sort of distorted, sinister lookright? Perhaps even unattractive, certainly not happy & good looking, smooth talking & successful like these people. Surely evil could not look like good could it? Surely the devil himself, could not appear as an angel of lightor could he? Of course he can & in fact he must if he is to deceive, otherwise where's the deception ?

How could anyone dare call a person evil who calls himself a Christian ? (See the Apostle Paul who called out the deceivers.) How can someone not like a man who champions himself to make a difference for the good of all ? How can anyone question a man who says he has faith & believes in God ? I'll tell you why, because demons also believe & tremble, but they certainly are not Christians. Do not be foolish, but test the spirits. Do not merely look with your natural eyes & endearing emotions for they cannot be trusted. Christians are supposed to be spiritual which means they can see
& know things in the light & truth of God almighty. The God who knows the thoughts & intentions of the heart. If we will but deny the natural methods of discernment & listen instead to the intuitions of the spirit we will clearly see what lies beneath the highly polished gleaming surface.

For those who still need help though, let's look at some of the facts :
These people ( Barack & his wife ) have belonged to the same church for many years pastured by the same leader, a church that he himself said he just had to become a part of because of it's unity in a common cause enabled by a power referred to as African Christian theology. These people say that the true gospel is one exclusively for the liberation (& promotion) of black people & that Jesus Himself was black & that any other theology is false Christianity. This should not need any clarification butany true believer knows that Jesus was both a Jew & God in the flesh & that what color his skin was, is about as important as what color were His eyes or hair, his height & weight. The point of emphasis was that He was God. Also, any believer in truth would also know & recognize that Jesus broke down the barrier of the dividing walls separating Jews & gentiles. This was the only legitimate distinction by God between men so that salvation would remain by His choosing. It's only men who make distinctions based upon race, color of skin, nationality, political affiliation, social status, intellect, wealth & talents. If God makes no such distinctions why should man, but these people even make blackness their religion. They revel in their shame.

Next, there's an old saying that if you don't take a stand for something you'll fall for anything. These so-called, "fair-minded" people also believe that Jesus is not the only name given under heaven by which men can be saved. Barack says that there are many ways to God. This is merely a politically correct way of saying that anyone who believes in a god can be saved. Be aware that he, as a politician, chooses his words carefully & deliberately so that he can say what he means without necessarily exposing his true beliefs & agendas. The truth is, "there is no other name given under heaven by which men can be saved" as well as "no can come to the Father but by Me". These are not options, they are absolutes!

Then there's the abortion issue. To this Obama commented that he would not want to "punish" his own daughter with a child for "making a bad decision". This presidential candidate would rather murder an innocent baby than to have his daughter be responsible for her actions. Where is his own common sense for responsibility ? I shudder at the thought of having a president who has our nation's security & well being in his hands who can consider a child an inconvenient punishment for an irresponsible adult (or minor) & determine to throw out the baby with the bath water. He's certainly no wise King Solomon. Prov. 28:5 "Evil men do not understand justice"

What's more, his wife even went so far as to use this issue as a means for raising campaign funds. Michelle Obama described in her letter the three-day-long partial-birth abortion procedure involving the partial birth of a baby during the middle trimester of pregnancy and the jamming of scissors into the back of her head to kill her as a "legitimate" medicine. This reminds me of Proverbs 1:16 "For their feet run to evil & they hasten to shed blood" & 2:14 "Who delight in doing evil & rejoice in the perversity of evil."


So then, back to my question. What is evil & what does it look like ? With this knowledge or awareness of evil vs. good being so prevalent it would seem that there should of necessity be absolutes in that regard, otherwise what's the purpose ? If in fact there are no absolutes, then one would have to question how there could even exist such a knowledge & awareness in the first place. If there were no cold & hot there would only exist warm, for there would be no contrasting objects at all. There would be no need even for such words as cold & hot. The same obviously holds true for good & evil ? If there were no good & evil , there would be no awareness at all. But for good & evil to exist means that there absolutely has to be a true good & there has to be a true bad. Without the existence of absolute good & absolute bad there would not even be a consciousness of such things, much less grounds for debate. Having no absolutes in this matter would necessarily plunge the world into utter chaos & destruction. Without these absolutes there could be no accepted rules, without rules there could be no laws, without laws there would be anarchy or lawlessness. Concerning rules, here's one definition: an authoritative regulation or a fixed principle that governs conduct. I could go on but it should be obvious, the need for absolutes in regards to, good & evil or a thing I can only refer to as the truth.

So then, if in fact there are absolutes in good & evil, two questions necessarily arise ; who or what determines these absolutes & do we even need authoritative absolutes ? The common thing after all is for each individual to decide for himself as he so pleases thus making it a subjective reality to him. This, as I have briefly shown, leads to nothing but chaos therefore, we have to have an absolute authority on good vs. evil. Like it or not, God is the only & absolute authority & people must give heed to His established truths. This is why it says that a nation that fears or honors Him will be blessed. These people are those that who recognize Him as the authority & seek to obey Him. Those who do not abide in darkness where chaos, disorder, confusion & destruction remain.

It is no coincidence that the bible refers to light & darkness because those who love & honor God in truth have light so as to see the dangers of evil whereas those who do not, walk in darkness and are not aware of things which will cause them to stumble & incur harm. This sounds illogical, that one would think, say & do things that would cause themselves & others harm yet we do not need to look far to see the reality of this. Keeping in mind that evil means bad or wrong, listen to a few verses in Proverbs 1:16 For their feet run to evil & they hasten to shed blood, 2:14 Who delight in doing evil & rejoice in the perversity of evil , 6:14 who with perversity in his heart continually devises evil, 12:20 Deceit is in the heart of those who devise evil, 17:4 an evil doer listens to wicked lips, a liar pays attention to a destructive tongue.

So then , you tell me. Set aside your "rose colored glasses" & take a hard, spiritual look at the Obamas & see if this is not the face of evil.

The days are getting shorter & the times are getting harder, but be encouraged for the day of the Lord draws near.

Proverbs 16:6 By the fear of the Lord one keeps away from evil.
1 Thess 5:4-8 But you, brethren, are not in darkness, that the day would overtake you like a thief; for you are all sons of light & sons of day. We are not of night nor of darkness; so then let us be alert & sober. For those who sleep do their sleeping at night, & those who get drunk get drunk at night. But since we are of the day, let us be sober, having put on the breastplate of faith & love, & as a helmet, the hope of salvation.
