God has blessed many people in their latter years
Turned sorrow into joy and washed away the tears
Job was one whose gloomy days were made new
God blessed his latter years with a refreshing dew
Abraham and Sarah's childbearing years were past
God performed a miracle and sent them a son at last
Moses was eighty when the Lord appeared to him
And said my people are leaving Egypt you will lead them
Has your past been one filled with failures and regret
If you are still living God is not through with you yet
May your latter days be filled with goodness and peace
Until the Lord calls you home where all trials will cease
