Journey of Desire
A slug of movement meanders slowly, yellow-striped
caterpillar crossing the sidewalk, shuffles across
depressions as ravines in the asphalt, more like walking on
the moon, furry body desperate for shade, a tree's shadow,
anything to escape the sun in hot pursuit.
