For Esther

at niagara falls
overnight stop for lovers
and honeymooners,
a temporary visit
a chance to catch your breath
and compare
your special one
with nature's love
cascades of waterfall
shimmering
your wife's glow, her eyes
shining
both jewels in the
early evening
