Joshua 1:3 "Every place that the sole of your foot will tread upon I have given you, as I said to Moses.
Joshua 1:5 "No man shall be able to stand before you all the days of your life; as I was with Moses, so I will be with you. I will not leave you nor forsake you.
I read this verse in going through my Bible reading. A familiar passage, I thought I would just keep reading, but the Holy Spirit stopped me. I began to meditate on this scripture a bit more. So I asked a simple question. What land do I have that has not been possessed properly?
We usually refer to this passage of scripture as a physical piece of land. But did you know that your land can consist of other things?
Did you ever stop to think that your ministry is a piece of land that the Lord has given you? What about your spiritual gifts? Has those gifts been developed and nurtured properly? What if you are a writer? Is your writing growing and producing?
How about your work? Do you need to excel, obtain a raise or receive a promotion? That is land that needs to be possessed. As we pursue what the Lord has given us, the scripture promises us that He will not leave us nor forsake us.
So what is your land? Go ahead, place the sole of your feet upon it, and possess it!
