Worldy Lust

It is a sinful thing to be consumed with world lust.
By coveting after things your faith turns to rust.

We no longer belong to the world but we are God's children, you see.
Submitting to God's Spirit and resisting the devil's lust that he may flee.

We are either walking after the flesh or the spirit-it is our choice.
To walk after the spirit is life and peace: therefore, we can rejoice.

But to walk in the flesh, it is to have a carnal mind.
This is a trick of Satan to keep us spiritually blind.

As new creatures in Christ, we must feed from the living bread.
To remain carnally minded, we walk with the living dead.

The just shall walk by faith and not by sight.
For we are Christians-we are the children of light.

Be not envious of those who gain by ignoring God's instructions.
They are heaping up the wrath of God and heading for destruction.

Be content in whatsoever state God has you in.
Trust in the Lord for he has you in the place to win.
