Evening At Riviere De Loup
When shadows sweep
water's edge
darkness gentles
down and the forest accepts
a blanket at sunset
hush of quiet
among the silhouettes
sheen of reflection upon the lake
and curling mist caresses
the St. Lawrence
yoke of sun recedes
reluctantly passes away
to dream and sleep once more
till dawn.
