A friend is a friend forever,
No matter what betide.
The enjoyable moments shared,
As we walk side by side.

What is the bond of our friendship?
We share the greatest Friend;
And know we can be friends forever,
Where lives will never end!

Perhaps you'll go on before me.
We never know God's plan.
I'll try to be happy for you,
First to hold Jesus' hand!


Our time will come to meet again.
I'll surely join you there,
When my work on earth has ended,
I'll climb the golden stair!

Then, with joy, I'll greet you once more,
As we stand by Jesus' side.
And, we'll have more time together;
There, we'll forever abide!

Then, when we've spoken our "Hellos",
Worshiping together.
We'll rejoice in our Savior's love!
Still, we're friends forever.

So, greet all my loved ones for me.
Tell them I'll soon be there;
Then, we'll all be friends forever,
In a Land so bright and fair!

Then, if I should go before you;
You are the one left here.
You know my love is still with you;
Waiting, to meet you there!
