Forgotten Lake
Sunset breathes
Its spreading quilt of fire
as mosquitoes skitter
in random flight
bats add movement
amidst summer's breeze
until their features become
specks of imagination.
Bullfrogs burp loons lament
and coyotes howl as part of
Nature's menu
owls hoot deer call
and rabbits scamper in
clusters of movement.
The land is a garden of emotion.
