This article is a motivational product, a success article, a success report and it is part of the contents of some of my success e-books that are spreading very fast around the internet. It is indeed a great Bible success article for your use!
Fear is one of the major reasons why many people have not only found it difficult achieving their aims in life but it has also made lots of people forfeit the opportunity of experiencing the best of God!
I have really gone deep into the Bible to find out how this "enemy" can be put under check by anybody. This study has really given me the opportunity to learn along the line and I have always been very brave to confront this "enemy" headlong. I hope you will also learn a great deal from this success article.
" Where his son Gideon was threshing wheat in a winepress to keep it from the Midianite" (Judges
--- Fear made Gideon to use the wrong place (winepress) for the right thing (threshing wheat). A highly confused person!
"'But Lord', Gideon asked, 'how can I save Israel? My clan is the weakest in Manasseh, and I am the least in my family'" (Judges 6: 15) NIV
---Fear made Gideon to give excuses for not taking actions.
"If now I have found favor in your eyes, give me a sign that it is really you talking to me". (Judges 6:17)
---Fear made Gideon seek for signs before he can act.
"Gideon went in, prepared a young goat, and from an ephah (22 litres) of flour" Judges 6:19b NIV
"Gideon took ten of his servants" Judges 6:27a NIV
--- Fear made Gideon to belittle himself and his clan (see Judges 6:15) despite being blessed to have "ten of his servants" (he has more!) and using the materials described above as sacrifice.
Gideon was a man who was enjoying himself in the cage of fear. Yes, he was having a nice time "behind the bars of fear"!
Now let me summarize what fear can do to you as we have seen in the story of Gideon.
It gets you confused. A confused person will find it difficult succeeding in any task.
Fear makes you give flimsy excuses for not taking any developmental steps.
Fear disallows you from acting quickly on your ideas. You always waste a lot of time looking for proofs of success for your ideas.
Fear makes you belittle yourself. You do not believe anything good is in you or can come from you.
Fear makes you to act on what others say. Your own views are not important to you.
Fear makes you speak a different language from God's language. God called Gideon "a mighty warrior" but he sees himself different from God's views.
Fear is a killer and the disturbing part of it is that, most times you will not discover you are living your entire life in its cage!
How to Exit the "Cage of Fear"
You know that fear "kills" silently. You may not even know that you have its traces in abundance in your life and you must begin to crush this obstacle to reach your goal in life. It is a major weapon of the devil to stop success aspirations of the children of God!
Let me discuss some of the ways you can take your exit from the "cage of fear" permanently.
Search for your story in the word of God. Everybody has his or her stories in it. So search for yours on a regular basis.
Believe it when you must have discovered it. God says it; I believe it and that settles it.
Write the portion(s) of the Bible that talks about you in a small booklet and read to yourself repeatedly until the message(s) sink(s) into your being.
Act immediately on your ideas or instructions from God and learn along the way.
Form the habit of confessing your discovery at all times.
Discard fear immediately it creeps into your heart about any issue.
