WHAT JESUS STANDS FOR IN OUR LIVES
by sesan oguntade
3/28/2009 / Christian Living

Have you heard about the Man called Jesus? Do you know what He stands for in your life?

I have taken my time to study what He stands for in my life and i am just going to share my views with you

You will understand the significance of His coming to the surface of the earth. You will have an adequate knowledge of why you need Him to succeed.

JESUS IS GOD

I believe that the first message we need to get under this section is that Jesus Is God. The Bible says in Isaiah 9:6
"For unto us a child is born, unto us a child is given: and the government shall be upon His shoulder: and His name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, The Mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of peace"

Yes, Jesus is the Mighty God. We were created by Him and in Him we have our being.
Put your total trust in Him and you will surely be a success.

JESUS AND OUR ACCESS TO THE FATHER

"I am the Way, the Truth and the Life, no one comes unto the Father, except by Me"
-John 14:6

Jesus came to the earth to repair the way to the father which was destroyed by the first couple Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden.

Since that unfortunate incident in the Garden of Eden, man has found it difficult accessing the Father.
But things were restored when Jesus gave up His Life on the cross of Calvary to wash the sins of the world away with His blood.

All thanks to Jesus, we now have an express access to God, the Father.

JESUS AND OUR FRUITFULLNESS
"I am the Vine, you are the branches: he that abides in Me, and I in him, the same brings forth much fruit. For without Me, you can do nothing".
-John 15:5 (KJ2000)

Any branch that gets itself detached from the Vine never bears good fruits.The branches need the vine to produce good fruits. If they get disconnected, the source of supply of requirements for their fruitfulness is cut off.

Without Jesus, you are nothing (John 15:5b). Get yourself connected to Jesus always and enjoy a fruitful life.

JESUS AND OUR PROSPERITY

The word of God says Jesus became poor so that we can be rich. Prosperity is our divine right in Jesus Christ. He has already nailed poverty to the cross of Calvary.

Financial prosperity, prosperity in health, prosperity of the mind is our right. He says in His word;

"I wish above all things that you may prosper and
be in health, even as your soul prospers".
-3 John:2 (KJ2000)

His promise for us is that of complete prosperity. Begin therefore to enjoy prosperity unlimited in Christ Jesus

JESUS AND OUR PROMOTION

Peter, James and John were professional fishermen. They were so good at their trade and they strongly believe they have reached the summit of their profession. To them there cannot be any promotion of any sort for them in their business.
But the story changed when Jesus stepped in.
"And so was also James, and John, the sons of
Zebeddee, who were partners with Simon. And
Jesus said unto Simon; from now on you shall
catch men"
-Luke 5:10 (KJ2000)

They got promoted from catching fishes to catching men

JESUS AND OUR DAILY SUPPLY

The psalmist got so excited about the provisions of God and shouted aloud that;
"The Lord is my Shepherd; I shall not want"
- Psalm 23:1(KJ2000)

Jesus is our good Shepherd. With Him guiding us, we can be sure of our daily supplies.
You must do everything to remain in the fold and those wonderful daily supplies will not elude you.
The psalmist continued in Psalm 23:2;
"He makes me to lie down in green pastures: He
leads me beside the still waters "

Your major duty as a sheep is to remain in the shepherd's fold and you can be sure He will always lead you towards those beautiful green pastures where you can feed yourself to the brim daily.

These are some of what Jesus stands for in my life and i believe they apply to you too.

With this understanding of what Jesus stands for in your life, you are not permitted to fail again. You are to lay your hands on projects after projects and bring them to an end and ultimately rake in lots of profits.
