Anything Goes
by PamFord Davis In our "anything goes" society people who are true to their convictions are frequently ridiculed. All of the labels are pasted on them from "judgmental, holy Joe's, to hypocrites." At the center of the opposition is the attitude that there are no moral absolutes. If a person is sincere about their beliefs all is well. If you believe that the Bible is the inspired word of God you have no choice but to accept the label of being narrow minded! "This is the 'stone which was rejected by you builders, which has become the chief cornerstone. Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved (Acts 4:11-12 NKJ)." The scripture reveals that no other god or way will bring salvation and eternal life. That is a narrow minded statement; and it leads us to freedom in the arms stretched wide at Calvary!
