Home At Last
by PamFord Davis

Do you eagerly rush home to your family after a day on the job? What makes Thanksgiving and the Christmas holidays the busiest days in airports across America? Are travelers dealing with the frantic flight schedules to visit home towns, or those who fill them? We want the connection with those we hold most dear. Walking through the door we know we are where we belong! We are at home with those we love!

The Bible gives us radiant glimpses into the glory of the city Jerusalem. Jesus and inspired prophets describe in detail the dimensions of the city, and much of its landmarks. One portion is recorded by Ezekiel 48. Members of the family of Jacob are given special recognition. The gates of the city will be named in their honor! (Verses 30-34) The spectacular sight will be one to appreciate; but that will not be what draws the nations. "All the way around shall be eighteen thousand cubits; and the name of the city from that day shall be: THE LORD IS THERE (Ezekiel 48:35 NKJ)." He will be there waiting! We will know we are home at last!
